As I was travelling along South Broadway a few days ago, on a unplanned trip to Eureka, I noticed Bucksport Sporting Goods wide open literally!!!! I was unaware that a sporting goods store was essential!!! WTF Over???!!!

Sporting goods stores are open to provide ammo. As far as I’m concerned, an essential. You can thank Trump for that. On a side note, I just want a fuking haircut!

I think they still sell guns and the NRA sued state of CA to change status of any gun shop from non-essential to essential. They won obviously. I dont think the state has the time to fight with the NRA right now.

Nonsense. They offer hunting, fishing and other supplies that people use to feed themselves. Well, obviously not you personally but others.

i’d love to see a list of how many people in the county go hunting and fishing to feed themselves that have no other way to get food. it’s probably less than one.

Of course there’s other ways but there are also plenty of fishing and hunting licenses issued each year. Just because no one is offered you some venison, duck or fish does not mean much.

Chocolate shops closed and pot shops open, this just doesn’t equal two.

Liquor stores, weed stores ok. Video stores, barber shops not ok. Is the person in charge a long haired drunk pothead? I guess everyone has their priorities.

I cut my hair myself, it definitely gives me a reason to not go out in public now. Apparently barber have “special” scissors for cutting hair, not just the ones they find In the kitchen.

the best way I could describe it is that, it looks like I lost a bet with my friends when I was drunk and as a result I had to let my 5 year old daughter give me a hair cut with buzzers while she was hopped up on pixies sticks. Do what you will with this information.

Feather the ends, bro. Feather the ends. It’s a little painful if you haven’t enough length to hold it above the cut but there’s no magic. Only technique. Google “how to cut hair like a pro.”

Oh the detail, the details. I wonder what the logic is for keeping liquor stores open. Even pot store can stretch a point for offering medicinal weed but who gets medicial alcoholic beverages these days.

And the idea that this has been extended to indefinitely is disturbing. Officials should be required to renew it periodically, announcing why , requiring a minimum standard to do it rather than avoiding work by letting it roll over. Eventually people will start ignoring it out of necessity and then it will just become another unenforceable regulation.

I wouldn’t try on shoes without socks on. Today, I wouldn’t know whose socks were in the shoe before me or where their sock has walked. Today, buying a shoe just sounds nasty. Order them online.

If I was a college student with a closed campus and wanted to go to parent’s home to shelter in place and didn’t want to fly there. Seems buying a car, which can be wiped down, would be a reasonable decision. It might even be cheaper than renting.

Maybe small businesses can open up Etsy shops for online sales. I would surely support a local business. I have a lot coming up in my life. Fortunately, I am able to still celebrate with some gifts. Nephew’s birthday, birth of a new baby niece, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and the list goes on. I will do all of my shopping online and now more than ever is a crucial time to support small businesses! I find it gross that people would find it essential to leave their homes to purchase liquor. Makes no sense since they can purchase at grocery store or big box store like Walmart or target. Why not allow the same revenue for small businesses that sell children’s clothing? Now is a time when people NEED to bargain shop. Not everyone can afford to buy everything new!

I suggest looking into the resale app Mercari. I have sold and purchased on there. Great for used kids clothing and shoes. Just a thought for those in need on a budget and stuck at home.

Maybe because there is not much in the line of assistance in big box stores. It is been awhile since I tried to get some help on Target but I do remember in ever found it.

Another to make you go hmm. Pick&Pull in Fairfield is considered essential and open. Just in case you need a new used bumper during this lockdown.

Here’s an idea. Since lawyers are considered a necessary business, those businesses that should be on the essential list can hire one to sue the Sheriff personally and hold him liable in civil court for every dime your business loses. Especially since it’s idiotic how the essential business list was created.

Just what is the difference between a “traditional” department store and a “Target style” department store?

Someone with the virus came up with that real (for the lack of a better word) “stupid” list. Should receive the “knot head” award.
