See what I mean?
No.
Miguel,
A commenter mentioned around noon that the scanner had been
sort of Q_ _ _ _ lately. (Don’t hear anything) So I replied that
when I was on a VFD I found out you never say the Q-word. It’s a jinx.
Shit hits the fan, and all H_ _ _ breaks loose.
Then… Armed robbery in Eureka, then this wreck locally. See what I mean? No? Then…3 tornadoes in the southeast, and a 6.5 earthquake in Idaho. Shit hit the fan and all H_ _ _ broke loose. Never say the Q-Word.
Hope everyone is OK.
I thought of your comment when this rolled out.
NUTS
updates please
Wonder if the person was between the vehicle and tree. Can’t figure it out. Did the juvenile drive the truck into this person and pin them against the tree?
My brother and I witnessed the wreck
And were first on the scene. And for everyone’s info. No juvenile was driving! There was a 4yr old and a 6-7 month old baby. Both were buckled as was their mom.and thank god for it. when we attempted vocal contact there was no reply. As I worked my way down the hill , over the still running motor I heard the faint screaming of babies. As a father of three , as is my brother. That was the worst sound we ever heard. When I got to the vehicle it was on its driver side up against the tree I climbed up on it trying to open the passenger door and asking the passenger if anybody was with them. She replied no. Continue to try to get the door open it wouldn’t. My brother and I decided then we would have to break out a window we had mom cover up the baby with the blanket . But before we had to break the window my brother recognize the back flap window and just tore it off. First out came the four-year-old then the infant and then Mom. Upon exiting the vehicle the four-year-old commented on her father so I asked her was he in the car she said no also as did her mother when I first got to the vehicle. But as we made our way up the hill the mom started asking where is her husband. My brother and I both instantly ask her if he was in car. Her reaction gave the answer. As my brother took the children up the hill I work my way down the hill looking for a husband who I found pinned between the tree and the truck . With only his legs sticking out from his waist down I fear the worst and told the wife not to come any closer. I was to scared to go closer. Somehow against my own will I went to the other side of the tree you find that he wasn’t completely crushed like I had thought But was suffocating.so I started digging out underneath him to free face from being smothered. With oxygen he regained consciousness. Needless to say the whole ordeal was traumatic, and I never felt so helpless in all my life. Babies and mom was uninjured thank God. And up the hill with my brother . they got more help . and I struggled with my composer. And stayed with Dad who was verbally coherent and communicating . I informed him of his family’s safety Wich he thanked me . finally someone else showed up . not paramedics yet , but a family member I believe. They was on a first name basis. He took over from there. As I must shamefully admit even though there was nothing more that I could do I felt like I was abandoning them. And for that I apologize but I was too scared to watch a man lose his life which he didn’t think God. And the four-year-old she helped keep her mother calm while my brother and I help them out. So there’s a hero to be had out of the whole ordeal it’s her!
