I was on that road last Sunday with the Willits on the way to Fort Bragg it’s a terrible Road and I’m used to driving 101 299 even 36 but I’ve never seen so many turns it just keeps going and going and going I’m surprised there aren’t more accidents I certainly hope the girls will be okay

If people travel the speed appropriate for road conditions and eschew distractions most roads are pretty safe. A head on collision implys one of these vehicles was over the line. That is not the fault of the ROAD

I would rather drive 20 than 36 tbh. The narrowness in places on 36 is a real problem imo. Even more so when I am towing. I have found one of the best times to drive 20 is between 1:30am and 4am. Its quiet very few vehicles on it, and and you can really take your time in the twisty bits and not worry about the extremely slow and tailgaters(that want to do 90+) on the climbs.

Unfortunately, accidents happen. I am so glad that it wasn’t worse. Having said that, it is the windiness that keeps our community small and beautiful. There’s little chance of tourist-trap sprawl. Yes, it can be treacherous, but I am grateful for that road. I am even more grateful that nobody was badly injured, or worse.

I am extremely happy that none of the Girl Scouts, and others involved were not killed. Don’t know who was at fault, but it at least had a fair outcome.
