San Francisco District Attorney Is Setting Aside Charges Against Adult Male Found with 13-Year-Old Girl “Pending Further Investigation”

In an astounding turn of events in an already emotionally charged case, Elizabeth Fernandez, spokesperson for the University of California in San Francisco has notified us that the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office will be “setting aside” the 18 felony and the one misdemeanor charge against 22-year-old King John Baylon “pending further investigation into the case.”

Baylon was apprehended on Sunday, January 5 for his alleged role in the disappearance of 13-year-old Sienna Carter, a child from Fort Bragg who had gone missing from the UCSF campus on the previous Friday, January 3rd.

The following statement was provided by UCSF Spokesperson Elizabeth Fernandez: “We have just learned that the San Francisco District Attorney is setting aside charges pending further investigation into the case. I don’t have further information but wanted you to be aware as soon as we found this out.”

As of 9:44 p.m., Baylon no longer shows up on the San Francisco Sheriff’s Inmate Locator. The family of the victim was unaware of this turn of events when we contacted them this evening.

We will update when more information comes out.

New DA who is not prosecuting lifestyle crimes like prostitution , camping in street, homelessness, and using sidewalks as toilets. He is the son of convicted Weather Underground members ( his parents were jailed for killing a security guard during a botched robbery). He was raised by a radical leftist from Chicago.

It’s more likely the DA is trying to get the girl’s parents to agree on collecting DNA and other medical evidence which could (depending on circumstances) guarantee a conviction before announcing charges.

The DA is probably trying to get the girl’s parents to allow for collecting DNA and other medical evidence before proceeding with the case. This is what an intelligent and responsible prosecutor would do. I would assume this is a hugely difficult choice for her parents.

I knew of a case much like this one and all those charges in him came from being with one girl the same age as this one but he was able to prove that she had presented herself as 17 (he was 19) and she looked it as well. So this guy could be a real predator, just a garden variety perv, or he could have been fooled which is why he’s not being charged until they figure out the truth, and he still may get charged. Either way, I think the racial/immigration status comments are ignorant and bigoted as hell.

Possession of child pornography is a little more than your average garden variety perv. Regardless of intentions and whether or not the girl was complicit, she is still a child and doesn’t have the emotional maturity and reasoning of an adult. He does. That’s why there are laws regarding statutory rape. And she doesn’t look legal in her pictures by any means.

I did do that just because I never thought of doing it as I love California because of it’s natural wonders, less uptightness, vugor and simply it is been home for generations. It was not a good thing to have done because those positives came down to Disneyland, beaches, weed and beautiful women in 90% of the hits. Of course, that result reinforced the reasons people gave for hating California, which boiled down to the politics of people who think in terms of Disneyland, beaches, weed and beautiful women. Doomed. We’re all doomed.

Liberal San Francisco DAs may be but no amount of liberal philosophy gets an adult male off the hook for child sexual crimes. There is something going on that we simply have not heard. One explanation is that, although his picture seems to indicate he’s older, it could be he too is a minor. Then his records become unavailable even if he is not released. Or the DA could be going to refile based on new evidence. Or it could be the wrong person. Lots of possibilities.

I hope Kym can find out and let us know.

My guess is the exact opposite: they reviewed text messages between him and the girl and found that she had him legitimately convinced she was at least 18 so he was oblivious to the fact that he may even be in legal jeopardy by picking her up.

ON EDIT: emphasis above on the word GUESS. I have no more information than anyone else, it just seems to me that it is the explanation that makes the most sense given what we do know.

Our state is going to hell in a hand basket. Crimes against children are being reclassified as misdemeanors. And even worse not a crime. Bail reform has been implemented before the people even got to vote. Lawmakers in Sacramento are back peddling serious laws. We need tough laws and more strict sentencing.

J

We have this weird thing called innocent until proven guilty, so they actually have to follow a certain set of rules. I know that’s hard for you to understand having read a handful of facts about this case compared to the files they have on this case, hence why they’re the one making the decisions not the people commenting on an article. if you’re still naive enough to think that every person arrested is guilty, why not do a little research into the judicial system.

Really?

Nothing Steve said had anything to do with your rant against him. He did not say anything about this man being guilty. You read that into his post. What he said was about California changing certain crimes from felonies to misdemeanors, which is certainly what officially what happens with Prop 47. That probably doesn’t have anything to do with this case but neither did what you said have anything to do with his post.

Instead of rushing to make belittling remarks, maybe you should read more carefully so you can address what was said.

Right! I don’t understand why people need to blame other political parties! It’s ridiculous. If you want a damn government first tell the other brainwashing liberals to get a grip of themselves before they get bored and start ruining shit for everyone. I feel that there is more to this story. I understand that y’all take news seriously at any point of view no matter whose involved even if there white or POC. This doesn’t have to be based on your opinion if you’re conservative, Republican or liberals, etc keep ur beliefs to yourself, No one wants to hear it if you can’t agree on each other sides. The mob runs the world too this is why the world is fucked. This is a matter of the real truth about what actually went down. The media runs in so many ways you might even be deceived. We all get our news differently!
First of all why is everyone tryna give example of how kids or parents act! Y’all have families worry about yourself. Be glad she’s back w her family and safe and be glad the officers took him in. Let them handle what’s actually going on because everyone’s comments in this articles are not helping.

And Kym^ you have the right to say what you want but because no matter what happens in America’s political world it isn’t on whose side is bettering the system.don’t we have a constitution man what happened to it?

It was quite the opposite. In the sphere of conservative conspiracies against democrats that have caused harm in reality, ie pizzagate.

But as you say, conservatives don’t do harm so you ignore them.

So, Bill’s 26 documented flights with Epstein doesn’t raise a few red flags for you?

No, not really.

People talk about Epstein conspiracies pretty easily.

Few names have been involved in conspiracy-mongering as much as the Clintons.

I will not be involved in mongering without evidence.

Lots of people were slightly involved with Epstein in some ways. Epstein obviously had mental issues, and being a prominent figure surrounded by prominent figures fits into that.

There are valid claims against Prince Andrew, and I look forward to that coming out more.

No one knew who Epstein was 2 years ago. Now, conservatives who use the term “fake news” liberally are using the Press’ work to fodder their imaginations of Clinton even more.

It’s all quite pathetic.

In the years before Epstein’s 2007 guilty plea to solicitation of prostitution with a minor, he was known for “collecting” friendships with many noteworthy or influential people — including Clinton and Trump, who were social acquaintances. Clinton took international trips on Epstein’s plane in the early years of his post-presidency, including a trip to several African countries with Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker.

Trump, meanwhile, reportedly attendedEpstein-hosted events in New York and Florida, as Epstein patronized the Mar-a-Lago Club. In 2002, Trump even gave a remarkable on-the-record comment about Epstein to a New York magazine journalist, calling him “terrific” and adding that he “likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”

You might want to rephrase that as “I will not be involved in mongering without evidence that I refuse to see.” However you are very willing to monger away anything from the same article might be vaguely construed to associating Trump with Epstein, although the worst they could dig up was attending a couple of meetings at the same place and saying something nice about Epstein but leaving out the not so use parts of the already abreviated quote.

This is just the typical liberal diversionary exclamations in horror over allegations of Trump’s behavior that in the end turn out to be so much less than the behavior of the people making the allegations. No matter how often the Democrats have tilted at Trump, they have so far always fallen off their own horse into their own dirt before they got to him. In truth it’s amazing how little of the mountains of muck they have thrown at Trump has stuck. Remarkable for a President who was a real estate wheeler dealer and avowed playboy for decades.

I said nothing about Trump and Epstein.

You’re so liberal-obsessive.

The paragraph is more context of Presidents who have known or flown with Jeff but aren’t associated with his crimes.

Yes Brian, this one time I will agree with you. The Clinton’s have nothing to do with Epstein as I have no interest in committing suicide at this time. I repeat nothing to do with him. Bill Clinton NEVER, ever sleep with women or girls other than Hillary.

No. I obsess about people who clothe themselves in virtue while being evil to the people commenting. The stink of that hypocrisy really is offensive. If a commenter is seeking to condemning others for being immoral, they best get a handle on their own poisoned tongue to be taken seriously.

“Malevolent people are often so cruel to the world and to the people around them that they can’t entrust any part of their lives to another person…
If you press them on the fact that they’re unapologetic for their malevolent behavior, they’ll deflect, push it off onto you, and gaslight you into thinking the reality you know to be true isn’t actually true…
They’d much rather make you apologize for THEIR mistakes…
Truly kind people are kind without the expectation of getting anything in return…
Ridiculing your appearance, your body, your interests, your hopes, your hobbies, your goals, your friends, your house, your dreams – anything really can be belittled in the eyes of an evil person.” https://www.higherperspectives.com/evil-person-2492720300.html

It’s not that a person who attacks people is necessarily worse than they are but, if they insist on using a lack of empathy as a weapon, they damn well better show some themselves. And because a number of self declared liberals do exactly that, they can only expect to have that particular hypocrisy pointed out. Despite their sycophantic attempts to garner protection from TPTB.

Was he with Epstein or using his plane?

Huge difference. And where can I get a list of the documented flights. I keep searching but have not been able to find a real source

So, over on the last thread, I posted questioning whether the charges in this case were appropriate, given what had been released about the case previously. Specifically, whether it actually was sex trafficking, or if that was overzealous charging. I immediately got jumped on by a few dozen people, many of whom apparently didn’t actually read what I wrote, claiming that I was supporting pedophiles, was one myself, saying that the charges weren’t enough and he should be summarily executed, etc etc.

And… now this update. Which suggests that I was right to think that there might have been something wrong with that list of charges.

Just because a kid is involved isn’t reason to stop being rational, or to stop trying to see that justice is correctly served.

Bushy, it might be a good idea to steer clear of this thread. You aren’t gonna make a sane point over the lynch mob screaming at each other. This is emotion driven, not common sense. See how many trump lovers love to chime in on this kind of stuff? All emotion, no substance.

While you diligently avoided such. Actually I guess it’s more like a counter lynch mob defending the person-you-don’t-know from the people who object to the purported behavior. Imagine how deeply disturbing it must be to find the emotional ranting being not your own.

Yes I did on purpose. Like I said- no point in arguing with a lynch mob. Sure – string him up I don’t care! I prefer to let the justice system take its course. We (the rabble) have no idea what the facts are. What’s the point in discussing the what if’s and maybes?

Released on his own recognizance. Those two kids are in love and should be left alone to live a full and happy life together. The district attorneys office can see the love in his eyes and are sympathetic to what love is in the digital world.

She had how many social media accounts?
And one said she was from Fresno.
These parents didn’t provide rules to this poor child. If you give your child a phone or computer always have access to them to see that your child is safe. If they say you can’t see it, then you take it away!

One of the reasons Trump won in 2016 – and will almost certainly win again in 2020 – is because of the way those on the left call anyone who don’t agree with them a racist, homophobe, islamaphobe, blah, blah, blah.

The Trump haters are so vicious in their attacks that a lot of people who support Trump won’t say so out loud because it’s just not worth the abuse. But when they get into the voting booth I guarantee you they will vote for the man. And that’s what really matters.

So keep up the hatred and insanity because you’re helping the President get re-elected in 2020. Thank you for doing your part!

So true. It’s like mass hysteria. They even call other Dems that when they don’t agree with them. Look what they’ve done to both Bernie and Gabbard. Gabbard would have had the best chance against Trump- more cross party support than any of them at this time.

I’m left but no longer a Dem. That party is shooting itself in the foot and everyone else in the face. It’s so embarrassing. I really think the Dem party wants Trump to win again. He’s an excellent distraction.

San Francisco has “Sanctuary city” status. Anything goes and perversion/murder/vile evil behavior are the norm and not punished and stopped. Isn’t this Sodom and Gomora in reality? Nuk’m Danno!!
So are we really shocked the assholes in the judicial system aren’t charging this piece of -hit and locking him up? They waive murder, so child abduction is nada.
Forgot to ask, is this little piece of -hit an illegal and unregistered?

It may be a problem with the evidence. These charges wouldn’t just be dropped in the name of “leniency.” The DA’s people are the ones in the room evaluating the evidence, and there is probably much more to this that can’t be discussed in the media.

He may be singing like a canary if he really is tied to some sort of international human trafficking organization, or maybe he convinced the DA that he is the victim somehow, or maybe he isn’t really 22 but 15, who knows.

The truly amazing part is that in his reelection campaign for 2024 (as well as in his 2019 election campaign) the DA has an entire page dedicated to how he will protect all rape victims…

Except those who are 13 years old, apparently.

As a moderate Democrat (I’m a fiscally conservative social liberal) I find it more and more difficult to live in California.

How long will the people of San Francisco allow “The City” to be ruined? I live on the outskirts, about 10 miles out, but we no longer feel safe going to town. We have not been to San Francisco for nearly 3 years . . . the last time our car window was shattered. For the third time.

The city is filthy. Walking along the waterfront feels dangerous. The conferences have left – even the tech conferences have moved to Vegas despite so many techies being within driving distance.

As far as I’m concerned, the far left has run San Francisco into the ground. There seem to be more criminals and homeless on the streets than visitors or residents – and from personal experience I can say that when the police arrest someone – for stealing a very expensive camera from a camera store for example – the perp is back on the street within 2 hours. Because, according to both the cops AND the DA – “San Francisco does not persecute non-violent crimes.” The cops said it with frustration. The DA with pride.

But the DA is dedicated to putting an end to property crimes – according to his own website. How? By not prosecuting them.

It’s insane.

[…] In an astounding turn of events, later that evening Elizabeth Fernandez, a spokesperson for the University of California in San Francisco, notified us that the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office would be “setting aside” the 18 felonies and the one misdemeanor charge against then 22-year-old King John Baylon “pending further investigation into the case.” […]
