The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) has concluded the 2019 Domestic Cannabis Eradication/Suppression Program (DCE/SP) grant cycle. The 2019 grant cycle funded Sheriff’s cannabis enforcement operations from October 2018 to September 2019.During the 2019 cycle the following statistics were calculated:

  • 86 operations conducted at non-permitted cannabis cultivation/processing sites
  • 206,966 cannabis plants eradicated
  • 39,788 pounds of processed cannabis destroyed
  • $94,718 in U.S. currency seized
  • 81 illegal firearms seized
  • 16 arrests

Numerous environmental violations associated with unpermitted cannabis cultivation sites were also discovered during the 2019 cycle.

The DCE/SP grant is funded by the Drug Enforcement Administration with the intent to reduce domestic cannabis cultivation. The DCE/SP grant started in 1979 and funds deputy overtime costs, expendable and non-expendable equipment, aircraft rental and training/travel costs. For the 2019 grant cycle, the Sheriff’s Office received $220,000 to cover these costs. The Sheriff’s Office has been a recipient of this grant for the past 20 years. While the DCE/SP grant cycle has ended, the Sheriff’s MET will be continuing its cannabis enforcement investigations this winter with a focus on unpermitted indoor cultivation operations.

To report illegal cannabis operations in your neighborhood, please contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Crime Tip Line at 707-268-2539.

Here is another great one. It means they are not getting enough investments and have to use debt converted into stocks to cover costs 😁. Just grow Humboldt they will eat through this next 230 million before February. Maybe we can buy up their assets say a penny on the dollar, lol.

I’ll see your raise and add some more good news.

https://mjbizdaily.com/california-marijuana-taxes-will-increase-new-years-day/

“Legal” is raising their taxes paid to the Governor in return for his protection. The cultivation tax increase deserves a hearty 3 cheers.

Taxing the life out of the “legal” industry is a solid step towards ending the deception. $64 is and has always been … punishment and excess taxation. One by one the cultivators fall to the reality. Soon there’ll be only pot shops and government control, both of which are doomed.

The Sheriffs department is Humboldt county’s number one enemy. I wonder if they realize that if they are successful, they will eradicate their own jobs?

If there are around 12,000 unpermitted grows, and we end up with the projected estimate of 1,200, this county will only be able to afford a few deputies. Most of the population will have to move. There will be some retired people left here and there, and some park service employees. Most of the restaurants, businesses, and schools will have to close.

This enforcement action insanity is of equal proportions to the era of allowing megagrows.

It should say “marijuana” destroyed since cannabis is legal right? They should also destroy the cash too, since that is illegal, and the guns, and lets not forget the livelihoods! Hell, let’s just destroy humboldt while we’re at it. Make sure you call the hotline to turn in your neighbor for growing cannabis, which is legal…. right?

Why would the Sheriff provide a photo from 2018 in reference to 2019?

They could cover more ground with GPS spray drones using MSM Turf.

I’d rather see this used and every illegal grow sprayed.

MSM Turf will not allow for replanting for up to 18 months.

Law Enforcement needs to use every tool for maximum enforcement, within budget requirements.

Soo, One of the supposed functions of the “raids” is to “protect the environment”..
Pretty sure your Idea would most certainly defeat that purpose. Spraying Agent Orange everywhere or what ever nastie nastie chemical, you’re suggesting.. No.. Just Not.. Spare us your disfunctional, delusional, and distasteful Ideas!

Good idea spray herbicide that should be really good for the environment and could cause some irreversible lung damage. How about just starting a death cult and have everybody drink Kool-Aid before they are loaded into the space ships to take them to the Promised Land. Like the like the plan that that County has for us

Is that on the label?

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. READ ENTIRE LABEL BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT. USE STRICTLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH LABEL PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS AND DIRECTIONS

Actually it is…

Variations of MSM are a military herbicide, with 4oz of active ingredient per acre inhibiting plant growth for up to 18 months.

Spray drones could use a rate of 2oz per acre to eradicate illegal marijuana growing.

An abatement letter could be sent, with a spray drone surveying the area, before a Human pushes a button.

MSM can’t be washed off and it’s ability to prevent illegal marijuana growing for well over a year should send a clear message to growers.

I encourage Law Enforcement to research these drones that are currently in use on golf courses and how efficient they are.

MSM can return Humboldt to a proper community without illegal marijuana growing.

Everything has a flashpoint just burn it off, lol, good job scaring everyone though. Plus I am way to heavily armed for them to occupy my airspace. Kinda fun shooting at I bet.

Oh yeah, great idea. I guess we’ve moved on from drones dropping male pollen since a person can now have their seeded weed deseeded for $ 100 a pound. I’m wondering what it looks like after that process. Yes, I understand that it can still be used to make oils and distillates.
Had a good laugh seeing the billboard advertising this service driving thru Fortuna.

It would be nice to see a breakdown of private v public (which they surely have) and trespass v own-property (if they do).

I’ve looked in some detail at the DCE/SP rules, and they expressly forbid the use of the funds for the purpose of determining compliance with a legal regulation scheme.

A plain reading of those sections is that the money can’t be used for code or law enforcement to investigate whether a grow is licensed or not.

I think many counties are using the money in ways that go against those rules. I also think the DEA doesn’t much care.

The rational is because of grows on national forests or trespass on farmland, the grant covers helicopter and remote surveillance. It didn’t say that it could only be used on those kinds of grows. Do you have a reference that specifically states this limit?

Picture of Ivan the Bulgarian’s pile of weed. Wonder if the FBI ever caught up with him. Aren’t we blessed with the diversity that a Bulgarian organized crime syndicate brings to the table. How many of you out there are dealing with them as neighbors? What a shit show Humboldt is…

It’s a committee, and it’s been done in the past. Not really as big of thing as they are making it out to be. It’s just another distraction by the the dems, and to make you “feel” good.

OK, these are the stats of what CAMP/MET or whatever accomplished this year BUT what I see missing is how much did the county (taxpayers) have to spend for you to get these numbers. I mean does the county take the time to add up all the gas needed, all the overtime pay, vehicle/tire wear etc, incarceration cost if any. Probably something else I have missed. $94,718 seems like a low ball figure- – – -just saying.
