Redwood Coast Energy Authority Community Action Committee Meeting This Evening in Eureka

logo for Redwood Coast Energy AuthorityJust a friendly reminder that Tuesday’s CAC meeting will be held at the Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District Board room at 828 7th Street in Eureka.
 
One agenda item was added, a report on RCEA’s activities following these public safety power shutoffs, and the CAPE public input tallies have been updated. The revised agenda and packet are available online here.
 
Just a gentle reminder that open meeting laws prevent the CAC from taking action not listed on the agenda. People from the community may speak on anything on (or not on) the agenda during Oral Communications, but please refer any requested actions to Matthew Marshall or the Acting Executive Director, following best practices outlined in yourCommittee Charter.
 
…Tuesday’s meeting begins at 6 p.m. If there is a lot of public comment, the meeting may end later than 7:30 p.m.
 
Reminders about the Water District offices:
  • Street parking is available, especially on 7th and J Streets.
  • Bus transfer stops are about 4-5  blocks away:
    • 4th and H (from the north)
    • 5th and H (from the south)
  • We may not be allowed to provide refreshments at the Water District. Just in case, please make sure you are fortified before you arrive.

We need information on how to opt out of this energy provider RCEA. Would Estelle Fennel have information on how that could be achieved ? Or possibly another reader could advise ? Thank you.

For what it’s worth, this was not a press release, it was an email sent out to the Community Advisory Committee members as a reminder. There have never been press releases for the quarterly committee meetings.
