Shelter Cove Toasted its Water Tank Upgrades Yesterday
Heralding the project for establishing “a reliable, clean source of water for the community for a very long time,” Humboldt County Supervisor Estelle Fennell joined Shelter Cove residents, project developers and representatives of the California Water Quality Board in dedicating the community’s new 1-million gallon Kennedy water tank on Wednesday.
After toasting the project with a sample from the tank, Fennell recognized Shelter Cove Resort Improvement District No. 1 General Manager Justin Robbins for his work on the collaborative effort that took four years from design to completion.
During the two-year construction phase Shelter Cove’s seven aging tanks were replaced with six new welded steel tanks with the capacity to hold between 30,000 to 1-million gallons of water.
Robbins praised the tank and site design provided by Project Manager Scott Kelly of LACO Associates. “Scott’s design work is outstanding,” Robbins said. “He and the entire LACO crew have been a pleasure to work with from the start.”

I hope this is sarcasm?
I like the American flag on the tank. Nice touch. Is that going to be there for good now?
