Fire Near Area 101 South of Leggett

A vegetation fire is burning near milepost 79.2 near Area 101 between Laytonville and Leggett. It was reported about 6:40 p.m. The caller told dispatch that there was a fire behind a structure.

The Incident Commander reported over the scanner that the fire was “electrical in origin” and he requested that PG&E be dispatched to the scene. No outages are shown in the area on the PG&E outage map as of 7:10 p.m.

Some of the resources were sent home which usually indicates that firefighters expect to get the fire under control soon.
