Fuck you HCSO. This is all you got? Shaming an obvious ADDICT for NON VIOLENT warrants?

Go look for dead /missing people and the suspected perps that made them disappear.

False statement to LEO’s like u care about that.. oooh paraphanalia? There’s a big felony crime. And she was likely found with maybe enough to flip to support her own sickness +habit+ and that of course is the same as conspiracy? This is a joke ..

These mug shots , trumped up charges and bogus BOLOS from our LAZY sheriff’s Dept need to stop.

Kym please ask them to start sending BOLOs for actual criminals..

This is just addiction and desperation . And mighty desperate on the part of Humboldt county sheriff’s too I might add .

Guilt by association I guess. Doesn’t work when people disappear tho so that’s some interesting double standards.

It’s the public blast that is the most disturbing …. Shame

BOLO for anyone seen using a cell phone while being a passenger in a moving vehicle, eating while being a passenger in a moving vehicle basically anything that deters the attention of a passenger while in a moving vehicle; for this also is child endangerment and needs reporting? Her act in the aforementioned link doesn’t place her behind the wheel… not justified to be a zombie mother, but still.

Shes most likely all drugged out on account that shes depressed that theres no jobs and or affordable places to live in this area. Uprooted in
a society who criminalizes the poor with absolutely no empathy , because its the better them than me ideology. If the powers that be didn’t want meth distributed through out the area, they could easily launch an eradication effort like theyve done on cannabis. Fact is that they WANT it here. It helps to phase out the weaker elements of their slave ship, and degrade the social aesthetic.

No jobs? I’ve lived in humboldt my whole life and have never been without work. I started working at 11 doing a paper route. Have never been without a job since. This woman is the way she is because of bad life choices, plain and simple.

Very nicely said Roe! Addicts have chosen to be addicts. Drug addiction is a self inflicted disease and I use the term disease very loosely. Treating these tweakers like they have a legit illness is quite disgusting. No one made them take a hit of meth or heroin or whatever their doc may be. Life is hard, plain and simple and choosing to do drugs rather than face the hardships that most people do on a daily basis is a cop out and an excuse not an illness/ disease.

What’s so nice about it? Just about every store I go into in Garberville has Help Wanted signs. And I’m wondering how law enforcement would implement a meth eradication program similar to the cannabis one.

Reply to  Yeah,sure

The help wanted signs are usually there because the jobs are left open because the employer is not paying a living wage. Those jobs are for kids still living with their parents who don’t have to pay rent. If you havn’t noticed a homeless epidemic created by a lack of living wage jobs than how can you expected to be able to weigh in on the issues that relate to meth and its addiction.
That big brother who can watch you through your t.v. and monitor your every key stroke on your computer could surely gather the intel to eradicate the big meth pushers in our country. They just prefer to use that technology to enslave us, not actually enable us.
The land of opportunity one liner is something often spoken by individuals who grew up and became sucsessful in a generation where housing was actually affordable to the point of owning a home with a decent living wage job. They use that as an excuse to look down their noses and show no empathy for the current dystopia generation x and the newer generations have to deal with.

Checkpoints searching for meth with drug dogs at each entrance to the town . One cop one dog at each entrance . You wouldn’t even need the 60+ caravan of officers from ten different agency’s like there doing with cannabis . Or bring in the national guard, lol.

Illegal immigrants make a better life for themselves here than these idiots.
I would speculate life is more difficult for them than it is for citizens.
If uneducated migrants can make a meaningful life here, I dont have pity for people who were raised here and have squandered their opportunities.

Life is what you make it.
We live in the land of opportunity.

These type people are a burden on society and should be shunned not pittied!

i dont think the first commenter wants to see this lady live this way. But i think the appearance that law enforcement is focusing on finding an addict instead of missing people and/or their killers is galling to ‘Anon.’

for those of you who are just annoyed, it is distressing to watch our community members fall into this pit of hopelessness when alternatives seem so blatantly obvious to us.

but studies have shown that english and american culture tends to create ‘generational poverty’ in some communities. And those families often respond with abundant statistical rates of hopelessness. https://www.jrf.org.uk/report/psychological-perspectives-poverty
“Negative [judgement from others] affect how people see themselves. Those experiencing poverty show significantly lower levels of confidence in their own ability to succeed. This has negative physical and psychological health consequences, along with reduced educational and professional attainment.”

In Britain, “A recent Institute of Education study found that teachers also attribute negative characteristics to children in poverty and perceive them to be less able. If children internalise the stereotypes projected on to them while so young, it does nothing to boost their life chances.”

And Givers by Design observe, “Extreme poverty sets in motion a chain of cause and effect that ends in hopelessness. It is important to note that the hopelessness that is the defining characteristic of extreme poverty is not a character flaw in the poor. On the contrary, it is the dehumanizing end result of this chain of cause and effect.”

and further studies have shown immigrant families tend to stay stronger and have more optimism.
The Pew Research Center Observes, “This relative optimism among Hispanics is even more notable because as a group they express less satisfaction with the quality of their own lives today (64% say it’s good or excellent) than do either whites (86% good or excellent) or blacks (76% good or excellent). One reason for the disparity in current satisfaction may be the relatively low weekly earnings of Hispanics in the U.S., which average only about two-thirds of weekly earnings among non-Hispanic Americans. Another might be their relative lack of education; 40% of Hispanics ages 25 and older have less than a high school degree compared with 16% of whites and 21% of blacks.”

but Pew’s paper only guess at the reasons, “One possible explanation is that they filter their expectations through the prism of their current, difficult circumstances. The future may look up for Hispanics, in short, because from where they sit, just about everything looks up.

“Another contributing factor might be the immigrant experience itself. Leaving one country in search of a life elsewhere is a self-selective process—the immigrant often takes on the challenge where others don’t because he or she believes that in doing so life will get better. And, even if going to a new land involves hardships, immigrants tend to believe fervently that it will make life better for their kids.”

HCSO is asking the community to do their work for them…. kinda like using the army to help them do their job… Honsel is a joke of a sheriff! This woman needs help and this sheriff is a kook for trying to rally up a posse to rat her off. He sure like to take the low road….she s doesn’t even qualify as a dangerous criminal that we should all be vigilant and watch out for her and call police on her whereabouts…. find her through use of your own resources, like deputies or detectives. Ask us to help you find real criminals and leave these people off of public blast

I see girls like this around.

Feel sorry for them,

but maybe this one, or some of them could be violent.

There may be more to the story.
If she’s a dealer she’s responsible for turning out more people like her, and for more poison in the streets.

I would say do not approach.

Hope she gets help.

First, why do you all refer to this person as a girl? Do you refer to men as boys? She is a full grown woman capable of making her own choices. Girls are minors who are under the control of a guardian. They cant make all their own choices. Once people stop refering to women as girls, that thinking of women as girls might stop and women can then take full reaponsibility for their own actions and choices.

Probably because she looks incredibly frail and vulnerable. Also appears to have 2 black eyes thus she may also be injured. Most humans have compassion for other humans when their frailty and vulnerability is so obvious. There is the new generation of hate minded individuals who often refer to personal responsibility even when people’s life situation is no fault of their own. Or they are unaware of the personal responsibility said individual has taken. I suspect putting this young lady in jail may just save her life.

That woman needs to be institutionalized (to rehab and protect herself and others who may have contact with her), not punished.

Melissa’s picture is horrid. She needs help, everyone else needs protection from her too.

Life is cold and cruel and too many of us are heartless or have been burned by having a heart. Status quo isn’t working.

Meth and heroin are so bad and the harm is magnified by how addressed by society.

This isn’t a game of cops and junkies.

There’s folks who want to live, folks who want to die, and folks who don’t care one way or the other. Those in the 2nd and 3rd categories tend to be, shall we say, a bit more problematic. To get them to a place wherein they want to live, now that’s the key. I don’t know that jail makes that happen, but jail sure does satisfy all the people who have been harmed by the actions of the misguided. It’s a condition that probably will not be solved with the current level of thinking.
