Eureka Police Request Assistance From FBI After White Supremacist Flyer With Depiction of Rifle Appeared in Henderson Center Yesterday

White supremacist propaganda flyerPress release from the Eureka Police Department:

On Wednesday, July 10, 2019, the Eureka Police Department was made aware of a propaganda flyer reportedly found in the Henderson Center area of Eureka yesterday. The flyer was from a group which appears to be attempting to recruit young people to their white supremacist cause through such fliers and social media.

The Eureka Police Department is working with our allied law enforcement agencies in Humboldt County to assess any potential direct threats to our community posed by this group. EPD has also assigned a detective to investigate the local source of this disturbing hate propaganda. Additionally, EPD has reached out to the FBI’s satellite office (resident agency) in Eureka/Fortuna along with our local Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO) Coordinator for information and assistance.

“The racism, hate and violence espoused by this contemptible group has no place in our community and will not be tolerated. Crimes motivated by racism and hate will be aggressively investigated and we will work with the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office to see them prosecuted to the full extent of the law.” ~EPD Chief Steve Watson

EPD asks that anyone with information concerning the source of these fliers contact Detective-Sergeant Shawn Sopoaga at (707) 441-5108 or [email protected]).

Note: The Eureka Police Department joins with another Eureka-based news publication in choosing not to publicly name this despicable hate group at this time or share links to their social media accounts so as not to further promote their racist ideology or recruitment efforts.

🕯🌳Were did the white race start from? Because I’ve always been led to believe that if you believe in the bible then you believe in creation which means you believe we come from the Middle East. Now if your an Evolutionist then you kind of believe we come from Africa. None the less it makes all brownskinned.

I’m just hoping someone else sees the Orwellian hilarity of some person posting a sheet of paper that essentially says “they’re after all of the white people”, then the police publicly announcing they’ve assigned a detective and requested federal assistance and counterterrorism help.

The “mark of Cain” is one theory. As peoples moved further North pursuing open range-, and later farm-land, for their animals, the production of melanin would have declined slowly generation after generation.

Just a theory.

Edit:

Something else to keep in mind is that there were “natives” already occupying those lands, to some degree. Native is being used loosely here and not as an identifier for any one group of people, not with the intention to offend anyone, as those Natives could have been other groups of Homo or possibly earlier dispersed Homo sapiens from regions outside of Southern Europe/Western Asia/Northern Africa. Obviously, we’re talking centuries/millenia or longer here.

2nd edit:

I’m not a fan of hate speech, but I do feel even white supremacists have a right to exercise their freedom of speech, as allowed by the Constitution. When they turn from speech, even of a hateful nature, to action, is when things change. Futurama had a great episode on this “A Taste of Freedom.”

Something important to remember is that one cannot offend another; another CHOOSES to be offended by one. I can’t make anyone feel a certain way by my words, their reaction is a choice, whether conscious or unconscious. Many, many people fail to understand this simple concept.

That’s true enough about hate speech having free speech protections, but the flyer may have crossed the line into incitement, which is not protected, with the image of the assault rifle. Then there’s the issue of how consistently the incitement standard is applied. It seems that incitement associated with some racialist ideologies is tolerated more than with others.

You choose to perceive the rifle as an “incitement” to violence whereas others might perceive the rifle as a symbol of defense, not offense.

I was not aware there are other posters by the same group. I have no knowledge of the group you mention. If it is as you say, it’s borderline at best.

Please note: I’m not a supremacist, nor do I feel anyone has any more or less rights than any other persons or groups of people. But I do believe in abiding by the Constitutional laws we, as citizens of this country, have all either agreed upon or been forced to accept, for better or worse.

I’m as disgusted by the KKK (a loud and boisterous group where I was born) as I am Antifa, etc… Extremism in most forms is detrimental to the health and well-being of a community. However, it’s not my or anyone else’s place to tell someone they can’t hold or express an opinion, so long as they are not physically harming another or encouraging others to do so.

Nope, I missed that one. Just took a look. I would call that suggestive at the least, bordering on inciteful. To anyone with a solid grasp on the English language and contextual knowledge of the situation in Nor-Cal/So-OR, a call to arms could be discerned from that.

But without having seen that other flier, the flier at the top of the page is not inherently indicative of hate speech.

Some people do most certainly CHOOSE to be offensive.
You can pretend all you want that it’s my “fault” that I am offended by racism, but racists choose their behavior knowing it is offensive and their purpose is to terrify the people they target.
Try not to validate ignorance and hate. It is not attractive.

…political speech by its nature will sometimes have unpalatable consequences, and, in general, our society accords greater weight to the value of free speech than to the dangers of its misuse.

– Mcintyre v. Ohio elections commission 514 u.s. 334 (1995) Justice Stevens writing for the majority

Moreover, Brandenburg vs Ohio U.S. Supreme Court Case 1969 makes it very clear that the Gov’t cannot punish hate speech unless said speech is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action.

edit 1: A precise understanding of fascism is a necessary start point and knowing that the current POTUS didn’t bring fascism to us, it’s been brought to us for awhile now.

Read the Princeton paper on evaluation of political and economic models in this country for some further enlightenment into our current state of affairs.

The interesting brass tacks: “When the preferences of economic elites and
the stands of organized interest groups are controlled for,
the preferences of the average American appear to have
only a minuscule, near-zero, statistically non-significant
impact upon public policy.”

That is one of many mistakes in judgement that the antitrumpers continue to make. In fact Trump got elected because liberals refused to see that not every buys into glorious fantasies. Having lost, they doubled down on insulting people out of pique instead of reevaluating why they lost.

Trump’s shenanigans would not have succeeded had the failures of the “liberals” (in fact very illiberal in the classic sense of the word) not created the environment in which they could succeed. Now the “liberals” are doubling down on the nonsense that made Trump’s strategy viable in the first place.

From the summary of the ruling:

“Before the Court is defendant Concord Management and Consulting LLC’s motion for an order to show cause why Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller, III and Attorney General William P. Barr should not be held in criminal contempt for violating this Court’s local rules governing extrajudicial statements by prosecutors in criminal cases. See Local Crim. R. 57.7. For the reasons that follow, the Court will deny the motion. Although the Court agrees that the government violated Rule 57.7, it disagrees that contempt proceedings are an appropriate response to that violation. Instead, the Court has entered an order limiting public statements about this case moving forward and cautions the government that any future violations of that order will trigger a range of potential sanctions.”

A lot of people are gonna have conniption fits over this one.

On earth, white folks are the minority. When the first people left Africa, we were black, and homo Erectus was who we were, and all humans evolved to Homo Sapiens sapiens. During this process, we evolved from Homo Erectus, then Homo Sapien neandertal, then Homo Sapiens Sapiens, or something like that. There is no archeological record of anyone in Europe, Asia, or the middle east until Erectus appeared, nor in the Americas. So, no matter what we look like, we are all Homo Sapiens Sapiens, and should not base any judgement or hold predjudice against anyone because of their appearance. One may think they are superior to another person, because of how they look, but they are not. So when a supremist of any kind goes into Burger King, or anywhere else there is a waiting line, they wait at the back of the line just like anyone else. I watch racing and other sports, see hundreds of thousands of people in the stands, of all different appearances, all getting along. Maybe the politicians should go to a race and see how America works. KAG, 17

Ok, who were they? I got the info from a history book, the London Times, and Dr. Leakey’s book, the “History of mankind”. And why they did migrate is beyond me. In the jungle, there was food, shelter, and it is warm. You go north, towards Europe or the middle east, then you have to build a shelter from the cold, make a fire, not an easy life. But we did it anyway. But besides all that, we weren’t there, so we can only rely on the archeological record of fossils and bones. I mean, it could have been Homo habilis, around two million years ago. Habilis was earlier then erectus, but they did have language. I wonder why everyone does not know some of this, make things a lot easier.

The migration of Homo Sapiens out of Africa, or at least the one that resulted in population of the world by Homo Sapiens, occurred within the last 100,000 years. It was driven by desertification in east Africa that accompanied global cooling. The Australoid migration spread along the shores of the Indian Ocean, where there was a large supply of littoral munchies. The spread of Homo Sapiens into the Caucasus region, giving rise to Caucasians, seems to have occurred later than the Australoid migration, perhaps as late as 40,000 BP.

Leakey was way off on the spread of Homo Sapiens out of Africa. At one point he contended that Homo Sapiens was in North America around 200,000 BP, based on incorrect interpretation of geofacts as artifacts near Calico in the Mojave Desert.

It’s probably an antifa false flag operation.
But as a white person here in California, what was written feels fairly accurate.
No one is grateful or respects the fact that white men created this nation and provided all of us this unpresidented freedom we enjoy.
All we ever hear is disparaging remarks.
It seems condoned for all the other races to hate white people openly.
The state government here in California cares more about foriegners than it’s own native born population.
I dont see some pleasant positive resolution coming. Diversity has divided us. There is nothing that binds us together as a people.

We are all benefiting from the contributions of people who came before us, and they were not even close to being all white. Maybe we can appreciate all of their innovation and bravery and brilliance, without assigning anyone a color code.

California has always been been diverse. For more than 18,000 years, it was settled by dozens of tribes that spoke approximately 100 different languages and hundreds of different dialects.

Indigenous tribes had steep declines in population due to disease, some of it brought by the Russian and Spanish settlers. Then California was an extension of Mexican territory for a time, overseen by the Spanish. And of course, in the mid-1800s, the Gold Rush brought tens of thousands of new settlers from Europe, China, Latin America, the Phillipines and more.

And don’t forget that the navigational expertise for the grueling overseas journeys to settle California and the US originated with the Chinese invention of the compass, which was first adopted by Muslim astronomers in the middle ages, who then invented the quadrant.

We’re all in this together.

Anglo Saxon peoples have a right to defend themselves. The Picts were never defeated by the Romans (a degenerate peoples at that point). The Celts held out in Ireland and Wales until the crushing enslavement of Xtianity. I for one have Welsh/Druid blood. You can believe the liberal/academic/Jewish fantasies of an “African” dispersement all you want. That is postmodernist, HSU-style brainwashing. We have a blood right to defend the west from criminal aliens, degenerates and their Marxist/atheist allies.

And I suppose that only you get to define who is a criminal, an alien, and a degenerate. Because from where a lot of the rest of us stand, you fit the description.

P.S. The Picts (small in stature, dark-skinned and dark-haired) survived by hiding, from the invading Celts among others, including Romans. The Celts who “withstood” the Romans in the British Isles benefited from the universal Roman policy of taxing and religious tolerance, not genocide. And you don’t have a “blood right” to defend anything or anyone beyond the walls of your home, and only then if someone enters intending to harm you. Men of the West, sit down and take a deep breath.

Yet the Romans were extremely ruthless in exterminating those who opposed. They razed Carnage to the ground, dispersed the Jews from their homeland, drove Druids almost out of existence, etc. Agree to worship official Roman gods and you could worship your own too. Refuse to worship Roman gods and you became a threat to political power. You can not view Romans in modern terms.

Carthage, not “Carnage!”

The Romans did not drive the Jews out of Palestine. They liquidated their political control. There was a lot of migration from the eastern Mediterranean within the empire, of which Jews were a part.

Religious freedom went through cycles in Rome. Christianity did more to drive the Celtic religions underground than did the traditional Roman religions.

What a fucking joke. Is there anything else other than this flyer??? What is “white supremacist” about it? White people are endlessly demonized, including by other whites. Turn the news on any given night. Is it any surprise people feel the system is against them? What is it that makes it “disturbing hate propaganda”? Where is the racism, hate and violence being espoused? Because there’s a gun on the flyer???? If there is something other then this flyer let’s see it. Change the word white to black on that flyer and you would hear NOTHINGGGGGGG about this. In fact most groveling, self loathing liberal whites around here would agree and empathize with the flyer in that case, pathetically repenting for the crime of being white.

If there is something other than this flyer that ACTUALLY promotes racism and advocates violence then I’m against it; lets see the evidence. Otherwise the only propaganda is this entire fake news story. There’s murder, robberies and fucking crime everywhere EPD. Investigate that!

Kym, they (as in oreguno) do have a point, and know the authorities are already watching. i know a certain Thai restaurant in grants pass that has a bumper sticker with the same scary black fire arm on the back of their vehicle and i talked with them about it and they told me they have been approached by white supremacists and threatened (they were told not to be outside at night) so they put the bumper sticker on to let others know that they will defend their family. much love and lifes not fair but the second amendment is for protection.

Trump tweets a lot of regrettable things but the rabid antiTrumpers are equally as bad if not worse, persisting in holding to mistake after mistake themselves until they can no longer tell what is real, can no longer think. The trouble is you fail to recognize your own garbage while being all self righteous, thinking is doesn’t equally stink.

Advocating terrorism ,literally, with the picture of a gun is completely different than the original flyer. Now we’re on to something. A mere picture of a gun with the sentiment that the white race is under attack (original flyer) should not be blurred as the same thing. That is why I was so indignant. Many of us, unfortunately, have become callous to the endless accusations every time the left yells racist. If there is more to this group let’s see it; you will garner deserved support from reasonable people if you continue to bolster your case. Not printing the name of the group is silly imo. Those looking to join a white supremacist group will have no problem finding them. Drawing attention to them will build support for their demise more than anything if they are an actual racist group.

Oh wow…a “Totenkopf” and a call to political terror. I see this as very fundamentally different, and as a direct threat. Terrible and shameful. Now makes sense to me as to why this group is viewed in terroristic lighting.

Off topic but something tells me that this last flyer you shared isn’t for recruitment purposes but rather to incite fury and cement the public’s association with a “organization based on white identity” to white supremacy, racism, nazis, scum of the earth etc… Or maybe I’m the crazy one.

Kym, I appreciate that you allow a space for people to communicate around such a sensitive subject without total censorship. I imagine many platforms these days wouldn’t allow it. Thank you

They generally act on those ideas or encourage others in their groups to do so. Some of them have a mandate to kill someone before they are accepted in the upper rankings of that group.

Most if not all of the members of white supremacist groups I’ve talked to are emotionally unbalanced people that no one else will deal with. I’ve talked to quite a few. Know your enemy. Many join these groups to have a “family”. Give some of these people enough privately spoken violent propaganda and they start shooting. I’ve known several victims, and was almost one myself.

Yet the assault rifle is there. And nothing said they are going to be arrested. Or have committed a crime. Just investigated to evaluate the level of threat. Which is reasonable considering the charged nature of phrase “see our race dead.” Too bad that spewing hate has become such a recreational sport on the internet. It’s hard to tell where the bullshit ends and action starts.

“Regardless, promoting ideologies is not illegal.”

I would be as concerned if there were flyers around looking to recruit M13 members…

It is illegal if there is a threat to someone’s life. Threats are illegal. Yes, this is indirect, and that indirectness is why many of these people are not presently in jail (there is a bigger population of WS in prisons- sometimes it’s a way to survive). But that ever present threat is the reason society generally wants nothing to do with these people. If you were Black you might hesitate to travel outside of town centers in Humboldt, Mendocino and especially Lake counties. Seriously, if you are in the wrong spot your life could be in danger. These guys are sneaky and generally ambush people when there are few other white people around. I know.

They’re all over the place. Other white people usually don’t even know… For instance convict fire fighters have told me of a fire started outside of Laytonville by 3 crosses burning on some guys front yard.

“If the rifle wasn’t on the flyer would the reaction be different?”

Not for me. I like guns. Just not in those guys hands.

“If the same words were used to recruit Black Panther’s would the reaction be different?”

No. The BPP as a rule didn’t quite go there. In fact the more racial solidarity they got the more they were hunted down- like the MOVE organization. Farrakon’s guys do and they are generally obnoxious and crazy. Just like these guys. I would call the BMP racist. But they don’t go around shooting white people as a matter of principle. Unless it’s the odd really crazy one. They just follow you around calling you the “devil” and all sorts of contorted bullshit. Really obnoxious.

“The 1st Amendment protects people promoting ideas even if they are stupid ideas.”

But not threats. And if it’s a threat to society the view on threats tends to get extended.

I read it. I saw a very dramatic quasi military, quasi legal protest against police violence with unloaded guns. I didn’t see the BPP condemn all White people. Or advocate random violence towards White people as a race.

What specifically were you pointing out?

Some of the people in the BPP did commit crimes. I don’t think that’s a main point though.

Farrakhan’s Black Muslims are a group that is truely racist. Although, I’ve met a few who weren’t obnoxious. That organization doesn’t advocate random violence, if only because it puts too much heat on the organization.

All of these groups are monitored by the FBI BTW. I’d venture to say they don’t monitor the WS groups as much because some of them are dangerous in very unpredictable ways. But I wouldn’t know that for a fact.

You obviously have your views, and your contribution to the conversation, which has been the epitome of the yin and yang of our human experience. Light and dark, good and bad, light and heavy, informative and hateful.

The journey to “our truth” travels through all kinds of rough terrain, but in the end, love and patience and silence are the keys to our own individual pursuit to self realization.

Wisdom is the goal of a good life well travelled.

Some people get a better head start in life and those are the ones who are best positioned to give back to their respective communities.

Who’s suffering that you can help today?

That fire got real close to you last year didn’t it? That’s why you are so triggered by the comments about the fire season last year. Your position is safe, and secure, yet vulnerable as well.

One of the reasons that politics has become so ugly is that discussions of ideas or even opinions have been replaced by bar room insults. Trump does it but so do most politicians and many commenters. I can’t stop it but darned if I will not comment on it. There is an attitude that verbal and even physical violence is ok if the person attacked differs with you. Schools need to teach good manners first. Then maybe political discussion will be more tolerant in practice rather than rancorous intolerance.

By “groups of people” I assume you mean Sid. HumCo and Shak?

Because they spread blatant inflammatory propaganda.

If you meant conservatism by “groups of people”, spoiler alert: I’m still a registered Republican.

Russian propaganda is an unthinking liberal’s trash can.

So I guess the Senate report and findings of the Mueller team was ignored by you? Got it. Well, not by me and most Americans.

Keep ignoring, go back to bed. We got the healm.

Every mess liberals create is not the fault of the Russians.

(Nice “group[ing] of peolple!)
Every mess Shak makes is not the fault of Soros.

That’s more accurate to my discussion. Try to stay on point.

People don’t need to be told an insanity is insane.

Then why are insanities like faked school shootings, laser beams and Seth Rich being repeated by commentors here EVERY DAY?

For people who think others are so easily lead, you sure suck up that common nonsense without questioning your own hateful sheeplike thinking.

“”Because they spread blatant inflammatory propaganda””

What is blatant inflammatory propaganda, Brian???

You might just be another useful idiot in the machine, to help sow division and hatred which leads to violence, among the innocent.

Let’s pull back the rug Brian, and ask ourselves what is Russian Propaganda? Is it possible that it’s no different to any other propaganda pushed by corporate government think tanks, or developed in the petri dish of primary and secondary schools, and weaponized in the dissertation level academia throughout the world.

“Propaganda”

Little bit of historical data will help you figure out which groups developed these weaponized thought patterns to obfuscate and divide people who should be united in a common fight to throw off the chains of oppression, regardless of its genesis…

“Russian propaganda”, or “government sponsored terrorism”, the definition of the non stop warfare against the general population from behind the curtain of psychological warfare programs which produced department chairs and university presidents, responsible for sponsoring the best and brightest manipulated into believing that a never ending psychological war on the minds of people is the best form of halting the expansion of humanity in its tracks.

You want to show yore merits, do a little more research into “propaganda” and any number of experiments conducted against the unknowing populations. …

The notion that the Seth Rich conspiracy theory originated in Russia is discredited. It was promoted by Michael Isikoff, whose sorry track record on things relating to Russia includes promoting the fake Steele dossier that originated with opposition research from the HRC 2016 campaign and went nowhere when it was scrutinized by the Mueller probe.

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2019/07/isikoff-who-first-peddled-the-fake-steele-dossier-invents-new-russian-influence-story.html#more

The former UK diplomat Craig Murray is on record as having said that he received a device contained leaked DNC emails from an unidentified person to pass on to Wikileaks while he was in Washington in September 2016. Seth Rich died in July 2016.

At this point in time, there is still no hard evidence that Seth Rich was involved in leaking DNC emails to Wikileaks during the 2016 Presidential campaign period.

That Seth Rich’s family appears to be behaving strangely over his death can be put down to the fact that some investigators who offered to help investigate his death turned out to be working for Fox News and were spreading rumours of a link between Rich and Wikileaks.

-From your link, comment 58

Know your history:

The Rich family was approached by Ed Butowsky (a friend of Trump advisor Steve Bannon and a frequent Fox News contributor), who recommended having Fox News contributor and former homicide detective Rod Wheeler investigate Seth’s murder. Butowsky said Wheeler had been recommended to him. The family gave Wheeler permission to investigate, though they did not hire him.[15][55]

When questioned by CNN, Butowsky denied involvement in the case, but later admitted he was involved and had offered to pay Wheeler’s fees.[56][57] After Wheeler asserted links between Rich and Wikileaks in a Fox affiliate interview on May 15, 2017—an assertion he later backpedaled from[58]—the family spokesman said that the family regretted working with Wheeler.[3]Wheeler then sued Fox News on August 1, 2017, for mental anguish and emotional distress, alleging that he had been misquoted in a story that was then published on the urging of Trump.

Rasism is a mental disorder.. And outdated.. Welcome to the 21st century..
There is plenty in the world to be mad at.. skin color.. is not one of them..
Organize time instead to understand different people and cultures…Don’t fall for these blanketed lies and non truths..

“Our true nationality is mankind.” –H.G. Wells

“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background or his religion. People learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” –Nelson Mandela

What is the crime? If a person wants to hang out with like minded people so be it. Apparently they want to infer a threat from a vague call for a meeting. I don’t like laws that restrict gang members from being together either no matter how violent they are alleged to be. If there is a criminal conspiracy punish it. If not, leave sovereign citizens alone. This response is virtue signaling and nothing can or will be done about it no matter how many are posted

And anyways, This could be a sort of Jussie Smollet case. Progressives need something like this to trigger co-op shoppers. Then a new organization with, hopefully a grant writing wing can be funded.
It makes it much harder to measure my hummus at the bulk bins when I’m thinking about challenging and vexing issues like this.
Now, I’m not into music, but I’ve heard from other people that violent messaging and racial animus is bieng peddled very regularly in almost all the youth genres especially rap and metal.
On another note, when you give young people better options, (like ones that don’t include self-loathing) then maybe attempts at identity pride won’t come off as so archaic or adversarial.
It is true today, that every group gets to claim pride and flaunt it to others, except so called whites. And why would people want to identify with a bogus racial denomination from the old century? Well, what would a unapologetically black man say?
But he would be wrong, because race doesn’t matter, there has got to be a higher calling, and it’s a failure of ideology that has let the village mind get lost in the tribe.

Lot of trolls on this site. Some help; some, not so much. I used to think they were bad. Now I think they are not so bad. At least they make you think, something we all need to do. References to conservatives or liberals being stupid don’t help much, and name calling, while fun for some, is something we all learned not to do in kindergarten (or should have).

This poster is one of two things, I think. A potentially serious small group of disenfranchised people, or a small false flag operation, designed to inflame the public. Since we can’t read any contact info, and the bottom of the flyer is not shown, it is difficult to determine. Hope Chief Watson and the FBI find out which. Fingerprints on the flyer would be a good start.

It’s probably bullshit. People are running around leaping as white supremacists all over the country at universities and in public spaces , creating boogeymen where they don’t actually exist. Look up the amount of “ hate crime hoaxes “ that have popped up over the last few years . It’s astonishing.

I’m not saying racists and white supremacists don’t exist, they obviously do but I think somebody is trolling for attention here

” References to conservatives or liberals being stupid don’t help much.”

Confucius — ‘When words lose their meaning, people lose their freedom.’

~crime seems to be the topic -and few know what the word means, and/or refuse to change the way they think when it is explained to them.

I swear, this tune’s words could all be transferred & applied equally, or even more forcefully to America, but was sung by an Aussie for Australia.

Shit happens when good men do nothing

We are nation of Lawyers

While the post is clearly not illegal. The text, combined the rifle image, are sufficient to warrant investigation/ surveillance. Studies have show that over 75% is terrorist acts are committed by far right groups, which includes white power groups. Personally I’d love to find out who these bone head are so I can give them a piece of my first amendment mind.

Anytime someone says ” studies have shown” without citing an actual study, you know they are full of shit. No, 75% of terrorism is not committed by far right groups.

Forbes.
“Terrorists murdered 3,342 people on U.S. soil from 1992 through August 12, 2017. Islamist terrorists are responsible for 92% of all those murders. The 9/11 attacks, by themselves, killed about 89% of all the victims during this time. During this time, the chance of being murdered in a terrorist attack committed by an Islamist was about 1 in 2.5 million per year.

Nationalist and Right Wing terrorists are the second deadliest group by ideology, as they account for 6.6% of all terrorist murders during this time. The 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, the second deadliest terrorist attack in U.S. history, killed 168 people and accounted for 77% of all the murders committed by Nationalist and Right Wing terrorists. The chance of being murdered in a Nationalist or Right Wing terrorist attack was about 1 in 33 million per year.

Left Wing terrorists killed only 23 people in terrorist attacks during this time, about 0.7% of the total number of murders, but 13 since the beginning of 2016. Nationalist and Right Wing terrorists have only killed five since then, including Charlottesville. Regardless, the annual chance of being murdered by a Left Wing terrorist was about 1 in 330 million per year.”

I think that view is myopic. Terrorism is a generational thing and picking a couple years here or there is an easy way to get skewed stats.

None of the terrorist homicides compare to government sponsored homicides of the last 100 years.

“Let’s start with a number: 262 million. That’s the number of unarmed people the late Prof. R. J. Rummel estimated governments murdered in mass killings he termed “democide” during the 20th century. “This democide murdered 6 times more people than died in combat in all the foreign and internal wars of the century,” he wrote.”

ok thank you for the link. now after reading the first two paragraphs i know this is fake news. it looks like they are also going to say the synagogue killer was a right winger when in fact the opposite is true (not saying he is a left winger). then it says Trump banned muslims errr. fake news again. i just have read too much fake news to keep reading. a ban on countries is not a ban on muslims unless all ‘muslim countries’ are banned.

i also appreciate the lack of actual cases, so i cant look through them one by one. but why would i need facts to believe an outrageous claim? ahh ‘journalism’ at its best

All this hysteria is just what the poster wanted. But who in fact, did this. An “activist” wanting to stir up controversy so they can get extra credit for a class at HSU? There must be security camera video of someone putting the fliers up, or a (reliable) witness. I know it’s unfashionable, but how about waiting to see how it turns out.

Once an incident falls off the media pages, it is rarely mentioned again. People will continue to believe what they chose to believe when they leaped to judgement. There is so little chance of learning from jumping to conclusions in error that this is like the “golden hour” when a person has a stroke- if not treated within the hour, brain damage is likely permanent.
