This year’s Children’s Mental Health Summit will be enhanced by a partnership between First 5 Humboldt, 0 to 8 Mental Health Collaborative and the Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council as an event focused on promoting infant-family and early childhood mental health by fostering trauma-responsive practices and community resilience strategies. These groups are collaborating to bring you a 3-Day Symposium:
Counting on Community: Exploring Pathways for Child, Family & Community Wellness
Thursday May 30: Old Town Eureka (Multiple venues)
Friday May 31 & Saturday June 1: Sequoia Conference Center, 901 Myrtle Ave, Eureka
Come to the Symposium and you will:
· Gain an understanding of the impacts trauma has on a child’s development and family wellness
· Expand knowledge of infant-family and early childhood mental health practices
· Learn how to further our capacity as a community to better support families
· Cultivate community relationships and networking with other parents and professionals
The Symposium will feature nationally and internationally known keynote speakers and presenters as well as local luminaries doing real work right here in our own communities
