Over One Pound of Meth Found at Eureka Residence, Says DTF

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

MethLast weekend the Humboldt County Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a Eureka residence and seized over one pound of methamphetamine. Through their investigation agents identified, Robert Samuel French (age 61), as a suspected narcotics dealer in Humboldt County.

Robert Samuel FrenchOn March 16th, 2019, at approximately 8:45 a.m., special agents served a search warrant at French’s residence located in the 3100 block of Summer Street, Eureka. Agents detained French along with several other occupants without incident. Agents located just over 1 pound of methamphetamine, approximately 2 ounces of cocaine, scales, and other evidence indicative of narcotics sales. Additionally, agents contactedAnita Gail Burns Anita Gail Burns (age 53) inside the residence who was found to be in possession of approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine.

Both French and Burns were subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where they were booked on narcotics violations.

Please try to get it right He posted bail and she was released to law enforcement for some medical reason. They were not just simply released by a broken system. I replied to your comment because I could not believe it so I checked for myself. My question to you is are you saying that the ability for someone who can afford it to post bond constitutes a broken justice system? Because he will still have to appear in court and be judged on the charges.

To be fair the bail system is a broken aspect of the system. Bail should have nothing to do with money, only flight risk and risk to the community.
