Last week the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF) seized over one pound of heroin during a traffic stop in the Fortuna area. Through their investigation agents established probable cause to believe Sara Marie Carnemolla (age 44), Sulynn Huong Johnson (age 51), and Amy Elizabeth Osborne (age 47) were involved in narcotics sales in Humboldt County.

Sulynn Huong Johnson

On March 6th, 2019, at approximately 12:45 a.m., special agents conducted a traffic stop on Highway 101 near the Van Duzen Bridge. Agents detained all three subjects without incident and searched their vehicle pursuant to a search warrant. Agents located approximately 21 ounces of heroin packaged for sales and other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

Carnemolla and Johnson were subsequently booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for possession and transportation of controlled substances for sales. Osborne’s medical condition was not suitable for incarceration and charges for her will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution (attached is a previous booking photograph).

Anyone with information related to this investigation or other narcotics related crimes are encouraged to call the Humboldt County Drug Task Force at 707-444-8095 or the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 707-268-2539.

Her condition was not suitable for incarceration? Total bullshit. I’m a proud democrat, we gotta change the propositions the people voted for!!! Cops and courts hands are tied because of passing props 57, 67…. I think. You all did this to save money. I didn’t vote on this. I don’t give two shits if these addicts and thieves are piled three deep! We must change these propositions and hold criminals accountable!!! NOW!!!

“Evidence does not, on the whole, suggest improved outcomes related to compulsory treatment approaches, with some studies suggesting potential harms.”

Trying to get information on even such simple stats as recidivism in drug addiction is hard. There are huge numbers of organizations, many for profit, that your their success but without any data to prove it. It’s not for want of spending money- the government spends a lot but it is mostly through referrals to for-profit programs through Medicaid or Medicare. I talked to one man who was 28 and had gone to 32 residential treatment programs in his lifetime. These programs happily took his money and he enjoyed them but neither took any responsibility for how it was spent or results.

“Medical Condition” was the important aspect of the sentence that explains why she wasn’t sent to booking.

Charges will be applied, if she lives.

Deport to where, exactly? Nowhere did it say they’re from, or what nationality they are, wether they’re here “illegally”. Did you ever take the time to read the article or did you just assume- because no “white American woman” would do something like this, right. Smh ignorance

I was a proud democrat but not anymore. Now I see what there doing to California, and how greedy they’ve become the fines and fees, taxes and permits for everything.the violation of constitutional and civil rights while they sit idly by and watch.the steaing of our water and being charged for our riperian water rights,it was ok when they said no surface water but when they went after springs and wells it was ok fuck you.I’m disgusted with California democrats.I think the party’s ideals are correct but the ones in California are not real democrats and need to be REPLACED! !!!!!

Now they also want to tax our drinking water. (which explains the strange attack I received, on another thread, from shills about teapot water).

All under the guise of helping the ‘poor’ of course lol. (they don’t drink water?) https://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article224239685.html

Aquifer confiscation loophole bill?

“high risk of containing contaminants at the tap that exceed health standards.”
IOW:
(please check website daily for today’s standards and risk declarations.
Zero contamination levels goal.
No filters or purifiers allowed due to their contamination potentials.
Contaminants to be defined at whim).

Remember the old days when sarcasm stayed sarcasm instead of turning ‘true story!’ on us? Yeh, me too.

That wasn’t a strange attack.

That was you using filling a teapot as an example for why you can evade a discussion about why building a dam may require a permitting body.

And then it was me using your example as why your example doesn’t work with the discussion.

Sovcits depending on city water everyday to fill their tea party pots is a conundrum indeed.

Totally agree. You can’t legislate morality. If we didn’t learn anything we should realize that prohibitions simply do not work in the real world. People are going to do what people want to do.
Treat it all like a health issue, ditch the profit motives and legalize. Full stop.

Absolutely correct! All we CAN do is enforce consequences for harming the life, liberty or pursuit of happiness of another. Do a crime with a weapon? More years added to your STIFF sentence. Voila. How it used to be before the criminals took over the zoo.
