‘Numerous Rumors’ Have Mendocino Sheriff Leading Multi-Agency Search for Khadijah Britton, Missing Covelo Woman
Multiple agencies sent members to Covelo this morning for what the Mendocino Sheriff characterized as a large search and rescue operation. [Photo from the Mendocino County Sheriff]

There are members from Mendocino County Search and Rescue, Sonoma County Search & Rescue, Marin County Search and Rescue, Napa County SAR, Lake County Sheriff Search and Rescue, Solano County Search and Rescue, Sonoma County Sheriff Volunteer Dive Team, and CARDA – California Rescue Dog Association.
According to the Mendocino Voice which has a post here, Lt. Shannon Barney of the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office said that his department had “numerous rumors” that led them to make the search. The Voice has a more extensive description of the situation.

Willie I”m afraid that won’t be the case. The “rumors” going around here in Covelo paint a much darker picture. I hope they’re wrong. Time will tell.
🕯No chance she wasn’t slaved out in the woods. By the amount of people they had out and the type it almost look like they were looking for a live one. They didn’t say cadaver dogs. And they where using helicopters.

Humboldt dont even care to hear anything from people if some one gets murdered not if they can just write it as a sueside,.theyre all suesides in Humboldt. Oh wait, there’s no way for the wardens to make some extra CASH on this type of venture, so i am asking, do fish and game want to help the public, or do they only get thrills in coming on your property with their little chests puffed up,throwing stuff around, answering to no one,yea we pay their $100,000+ salary, they run around like their god,lieing about “why I stopped you” were all sick of them being all negative towards people and not wanting to be a positive figure in the public!!!!!

I personally dont find it in the best taste to say such a thing about a missing person. But hes not slandering her just stating facts he’s then making judgment about.
I find it sad that people who are in gangs or whatever and get killed get blamed for dying due to their lifestyle. If youve never lived in such poverty with no options besides gang life then you wont understand.
