Woman Hiker Dead in Fall Near Wedding Rock Identified as Local Dancer

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has identified 33-year-old Bianca Brzezinski of Arcata as the victim who died in a fall near Wedding Rock. Brzezinski was a dancer in 2012, BayAreaDanceWatch awarded her (in tandem with another dancer) the “Best Dancer (Female Duet).”

Brzezinski was a graduate of Mills College according to a BayAreaDanceWatch bio. She was also the Artistic Director of Opal Street DNAce Improvisation Thearte.

graceful and strong, curious and true.
With no pretense – she was kind, too.
After the ecstatic jam last Sunday, when She thanked everyone for the beauty of their dance, you actually felt it- like a beautiful dancer with gratitude.
