One person was reportedly ejected from a vehicle at Stone Stone Lagoon this afternoon. The CHP spokesperson would only confirm that CPR had been performed on one person. However, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, a white Ford Expedition went into the water at Stone Lagoon’s boat launch about 1:12 p.m. [A CHP press release states that this was at Big Lagoon not Stone Lagoon] The vehicle was not submerged, according to the CHP page.

A woman and a juvenile associated with the pickup were out of it and with a passerby, according to the same source.

Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

Please if you don’t have to be out and about today, stay home. There are too many wackos out there. Nationally and locally the world is going nuts.

I hope the person will be alright. Was it a heart attack or the wrong brake pedal?

Oh thank goodness…
I’m glad we won’t need to worry about you hitting the wrong one and winding up ejected and receiving CPR at the boat ramp..
Those new-fangled imports with just the one brake pedal are a lot safer and less confusing..
My third leg does cramp up sometimes, what with nothing to do and all..
Long drives mostly..

Sometimes hitting the rumble strip can be a happy accident

the launch is a little gravelly at this time. this launch is a low drama location so I would assume something logically went wrong. bad part for the ford is that the lagoon is very salty right now.

So does mine, but we all (except those still waiting in the wings) have one of those days. That’s when the phrase “not that left, your other left!” is used.

Hope the person that had CPR performed will be okay. It is not uncommon for vehicles to roll into lakes, rivers, etc. The last I saw was a motor home in Humboldt Bay being towed out.

It wasn’t anywhere near the boat ramp. They went off the edge of the cliff on the north end. I drove by right after it occurred.

That certainly changes the impression from the headline. This information makes the need for CPR clearer. I hope that it was successful.
