Redwood Acres Raceway Looking For New Promoter

This is a press release from Matthew Sullivan:

Eureka, CA – After five seasons of racing at Redwood Acres Raceway, the Redwood Acres Fair board chose to part ways with promoter Blair Aiken. Aiken took over promotional duties at Eureka’s 3/8-mile paved oval. Prior to Aiken taking over the role as track promoter in 2014, Redwood Acres Raceway was led by Rich and Linda Olson. The Olson’s promoted the speedway from 1988, when the track was converted from dirt to asphalt to 2013.

Under Aiken, Redwood Acres Raceway saw the bomber division replace the real stock division the late models replace the sportsman division. In that time, the Legends division was added to the schedule as well as the Bandolero cars in 2017.

It is not known currently who will fill the role of the track’s promoter. A schedule for the 2019 season has not been made although there are scheduled dates for the popular North State Modified Series on May 18, July 20 and September 7.

Jump in there Mic, replace that pos. Track needs someone “you” that can fix the mess he’s leaving behind. About time something was done to get rid of that clown

Just to be clear, this release wasn’t done by RAR or the fair board. I wrote it as a unbiased third party so that there would be no rumors or confusion about the situation.

I’m sorry, Matthew, that wasn’t clear. I’ve corrected that part of our post.

It’s my fault for not making that clear when I originally sent the news out.
