[UPDATE 3:45 p.m.] EPD Is Pursuing a Woman on Foot in Eureka

Foot Pursuit

A little after 3:30 p.m., a female fled Eureka Police on foot near R and 5th Street. A citizen later told an officer that the female was fleeing north on S Street.

As of 3:38 p.m., she was spotted in an alley between 2nd and 3rd Streets, according to the dispatcher relaying information to the officers over the scanner.

As of 3:40 p.m., multiple officers are in pursuit.

Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

UPDATE 3:45 p.m.: The suspect has been detained. At this point, we’re unclear why she was being pursued.
