King Tides the highest tides of the year are due to be in on the 22nd the Arcata March are having a walk between 11 and 1230 and NOAA has put on a watch on Humboldt Bay for the extreme high tides if we also have tidal surges and lots of rains can also influence the king Tides dramatically

If laurie says it’s extreme, i’ll go with that. Interesting that its the one event that the authorities Don’t call extreme.

Flummoxed.

Beach has changed there over the last 40 years.

Bluffs are eroding, big sand dunes are gone, what’s left of the old ranch house ‘on the point’
is now covered in sand, along with the ocean-facing fields.

IMHO: Probably have to re-route the road south of Centerville..
up on the bluffs away from the ocean.
