The surrounding vegetation looks red too, which we know it’s not, so maybe it’s just a reflection from the responder’s emergency lights?

I see silver. Red comes from the reflection of the emergency vehicle lights.

One time I came up on a brand new F-350 wrapped around a redwood and abandoned. I go to search the vehicle for occupant and open the door to a beer bottle falling out, two air bags deployed and covered in blood and two empty car seats in the back. I start yelling in the woods at whoever I knew was hiding, screaming that they better not have been driving drunk w kids. Then a lady in a Subi pulls up and I start to say some jack ass was driving drunk but no one’s in the car. She responded in the most disappointed voice I’ve heard in my life, “that’s my husband”. Luckily the kids were with her. If those guys hadn’t been in a big truck they would’ve died for sure, that redwood barley lost bark and destroyed that truck. ( I am not insinuating this current wreck was a DUI.)

This is what happens when we jump to conclusions and assume the worst! Please, next time, take a deep breath, call 911, try to find the victim and find out what happened before assuming the driver was a drunken kid-killer. And no, you’re not insinuating the current wreck was a DUI; you assumed that it WAS, and now you are still taking a righteous stand that may not in the least be justified.

Willie, correct your comment: you need to put in a comma, capitalize a proper noun, and take out an apostrophe. Also, while not strictly erroneous, using more than one exclamation point is excessive and in poor taste. This comment should read:

Damn you, grammar Nazis are everywhere!

Not quite right. Try “Damn, you grammar Nazis are everywhere!”. Even your grammar can be corrected. Houzabout that!

Not sure, but I think three exclamation points are in fact allowed when referring to ‘nazis’ though.

That wasn’t a grammatical error. It was simply a missing word.
