Press release from Eureka Police:

The winter months are upon the north coast with temperatures dropping to near or below freezing. The Eureka Police Department would like to remind the community of the following Eureka shelters available to those in need.

Those looking for shelter are strongly encouraged to go to the following locations:

Betty Kwan Chinn Day Center
133 Seventh Street
For more information call 707/407-3833.

This location houses men, women, and children.
The center offers food, clothing, and showers.

Eureka Rescue Mission
110 Second Street
For more information call 443-4551.

This location accepts men, women, and children. In the event of an overflow, guests can be housed at St. Vincent de Paul. Guests are also offered clothing, showers, and other services. Breakfast and dinner are provided.

Attendance at religious services is not required by guests.
