[UPDATE 4:50 p.m.] Single Vehicle Accident on Hwy 36
A single vehicle crashed on Hwy 36 about mile marker 8.5. The occupant/s may need extrication, according to the scanner.
The vehicle struck a tree, states the dispatcher writing on the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.
Fortuna Ambulance is responding to the incident along with Carlotta Fire, Fortuna Fire, and Cal Fire.

UPDATE 4:50 p.m.: The vehicle, a blue Chevy Blazer, is unoccupied and most resources have been asked to cancel their response.

Seems more like a battle lost to drinking and driving. Wrecked vehicle left unoccupied… Doubt anyone thinks trees are moving besides you….
