Armed Robbery in McKinleyville Early This Morning

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

According to the store clerk, two masked suspects entered the gas station just before 12:30 a.m. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded money from the cash register. The second suspect began taking multiple cartons of cigarettes from behind the counter. The suspects then fled the store westbound on Reasor Road with approximately $250 in cash and multiple cartons of cigarettes valued at more than $500.

No one was injured during this incident.

The first suspect is described as a white male adult, approximately 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a gray sweatshirt, a blue face mask, light blue jeans with a faded white front, a black baseball cap with a red logo and red shoes.

The second suspect is described as a white male adult, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a redwood tree logo, a brown cowboy hat, blue jeans and black shoes.

The smokes skew the numbers. When I was young I am certain that I could not have picked up $500 worth of cigarettes. It would have been north of 800 packs, or 80 cartons. Now its like 5 or 6 cartons.

McKinleyville will be even more awesome with 4,000 additional section 8 units like the ones on Reasor road.

Where is that information coming from? Sounds like conspiracy to me. It’s just a Dollar General Store. It’s not tied at all with section 8 housing.

no, but the dollar store indicates soon. to sum up the county’s planning and building department in words is meaningless. lets review some actual actions. the new Ace was approved with serious ADA issues that required reconstruction of the entry way and filling of wetlands that they are currently being sued for. at the new Dollar General the sidewalk and crossing has been completed and it doesn’t meet the ADA requirement. as it is built, a blind person will walk diagonally thru the intersection. as usual I don’t have great things to say, it is what it is.

Looks like a planned heist, the clothes were bought at a thrift store to throw off the detectives. Just my .02 cents

they knew where the cameras were located, hence they were probably in the store before casing the place.

Before the NIMBYs sound an alarm, I would advocate citizen review for pending applicants. This allows community input and takes the application process for low income housing out of those govt.quotas.

graduates of Zoe Barnum and MHS make up most of the criminals in the news. the guy that stabbed the guy at the Jam, Zoe Barnum. feel free to provide anything to disprove my theory. Just wait until the mack towns boys age out. we may be looking at photos of some of them above.

Hope they catch the SOB”s and just waste them and save all of us Taxpayers the cost of catching them, housing them for a couple of days and then letting them out to go out and do it all over again. A revolving door effect these days. Just shoot them and bury them in a cess pool.

Most likely a Post Probationary Field Trip for these two. Hopefully Stage Four Lung Cancer will remind them it’s not nice to steal. Really getting tired of these chronic thugs and thieves. I wish we could put them on a spaceship and send them to their own planet.

Pretty much guaranteed these winners live in those Reasor Rd apartments. It’s SUPER frustrating and sad to hear of so much more crime in McKinleyville. This used to be such a chill place.
