Two Explosions Precede Early Morning Vehicle Fire, According to Nearby Resident

Vehicle fire

Two explosions preceded a vehicle fire on Hatchery Road south of Blue Lake this morning, according to a nearby resident who also reported seeing a “gas can in [the] roadway” and a large column of smoke.

Scanner traffic also indicated there was at least one gas can in the road.

According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, the first report came in about 4:50 a.m. The CHP page later indicated that the vehicle was a Ford F250 that had been “completely burned” but was in a pullout and not impeding traffic.

Blue Lake Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene.

Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

A few of the video bloggers during the raging fires reported that Ventura county had a BOLO out for a green F250 they suspected of being an arsonist.

shak spend some time reviewing the accusations prior to the actual determination of the past 20 wildfires in CA. upon completion of your review you will have a new and more accurate perspective on the causes of wildfires. arson is very rare even in Hoopa. most all wildfires are negligence.
