Chadwick Armory of Ukiah donated a buddy bag. The buddy bag was issued to K9 Leo and his Handler Jeremy Mason. Deputy Mason and Leo are assigned to the Sheriff’s Office substation in Willits, California. The buddy bag was purchased through the K9 Defender Fund Inc. and is a first aid trauma kit designed especially for K9’s while working in the field. This trauma kit gives a handler everything they need to stabilize the K9 in the field, so that he can be transported to a Veterinarian in the event of a serious injury.

Thank You Rising Stars Music Showcase and Chadwick Armory, for these two pieces of equipment. They are an important addition to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s K9 Unit.

Thank you for sharing the word! We are proud to support our local K-9’s!

The funds for the GPS Unit were raised through the contributions of local businesses for our silent auction at Rising Stars 2017. Then local community members purchased their donations. So it took a community 🙂

Chadwick Armory purchased the Buddy Bag because we believe that our K-9’s and their handlers are an important community resource and we want them to have the tools that they need in the field to help us.

We encourage anyone that can to help our K-9 Officers through Vested Interests!
