[Update 11:35 p.m.] Erratic Driver Being Pursued Northbound on 101 by Hookton; Spike Strip
The California Highway Patrol is pursuing an erratic driver northbound on Hwy 101. The pursuit of a pickup truck towing a jetski began by Fortuna. The driver failed to stop when the officer indicated he needed to do so.
As of 11:01 p.m. the vehicle approaching Fields Landing about 60 mph. A spike strip is going to be deployed at Humboldt Hill.
Update 11:07 p.m.: The vehicle is passing the Bayshore Mall.
UPDATE 11:10 p.m.: Multiple agencies following. “He’s hit a couple of spikes already,” an officer said over the scanner. “He’s approaching Motel 6.” The driver turned right onto Commercial soon after that.
UPDATE 11:13 p.m.: A felony car stop is being performed on 5th Street, according to scanner traffic.
UPDATE 11:15 p.m.: “Two detained,” according to a report on the scanner. The officer said that during the pursuit, “A trailer was dropped on the number 1 lane on 5th and Commercial.”
UPDATE 11:18 p.m.: Eastbound 5th Street is shutdown at C Street, according to a report on the scanner.
UPDATE 11:35 p.m.: The truck and the jet ski are now parked on D Street, according to a report on the scanner.

I’m going to assume that the deployment of the Spike Strip, didn’t go according to plan, if they are at Bayshore & probably points North by now!!!

I am wondering, humor me, did the get caught? 2 were detained, but the pursuit continued. the trailer was dropped, but later at an address? help me understand cause I have had no coffee yet
