Park Rangers Seek Car Burglars
Press release from Redwood National and State Parks:
Park Rangers at Redwood National and State Parks are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspected car burglars. In September a vehicle was broken into while parked on the Newton B. Drury Parkway in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. Several items were taken from the vehicle. Not long afterwards, a credit card stolen during the burglary was used at both Walmart and Home Depot stores in Crescent City.
Security cameras captured two suspects at Walmart using the stolen credit card. One suspect is a female wearing grey pants, a black coat, and a black ball cap with large sunglasses on them. The other suspect is a male wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans, a red ball cap, and red shoes.
Rangers have not been able to identify either suspect and are now looking for the public’s help and ask anyone with information on either suspect or their whereabouts to call Ranger Korsgren at (707) 465-7345.
Visitation is steadily increasing as visitors come from across the country and the world come to experience the wonders of Redwood National and State Parks and our north coast communities. Unfortunately, crime is also on the rise. Park Rangers from Redwood National and State Parks work tirelessly to increase and maintain park safety in the park. You can help! Anyone with information regarding any criminal activity within the parks is urged to contact the park’s anonymous tip line at: 707-465-7353.

Lowest of the low.
You would think a store as untrusting as WalMart would ask for photo ID on a cc purchase
You would think Walmart could afford better cameras.
They probably bought them at Walmart.
Gold! That’s gold baby!
All state are parks are plagued with theives. Fed land is plagued with Mexican growers. Pick your poison.
maybe they should stop hiring Keystone Cops:

Trimmigants without work.
More like locals who are too lazy to work.
Probably former black market growers forced to shut down shop…
No cameras at Home Depot?
no they put up those little black domes but most of them are actually empty (little secret)
Maybe this is who killed the elk with arrows.
The State Parks should hire a Government Hunter and this would end in a year!
So much for the tourist industry.
Do a drive by at all city, county and state remote beaches and parks and look for the broken glass on the parking area. Even along Samoa Beach. Welcome to the Sanctuary State where criminals come first!
Last time I went to Samoa Beach, when I returned to my truck there was a POS looking in my windows, obviously planning to break in.
Lots of great things around here. It’s too bad these turds make it hard to enjoy them.
A sting operation would be a great way to use some Measure Z money (and the new sheriff employees it has already paid for).
I’ve had my truck broken into at Redwood National Park and Stone Lagoon. It’s a sad situation to live in a remote area and not be able to afford to visit nearby attractions because you can’t afford to replace your smashed windows again. These areas need to be blanketed in security cameras, and when the criminals are caught they need to pay more of a price than I do for their actions.
Just like Latin America can’t leave anything in your car and might as well leave the windows down or unlocked even in towns.
Doubt it’s immigrants breaking into cars. More likely born & raised, white, tweaker, trailer trash. Just a thought.
Yeah these guys really look like Mexican nationals.
I think sting operation just cost money. They arrest the pos, haul them to jail and by the time they get back to the bait car the guy is already back there breaking into another rig. They could spend all day, everyday arresting the same people just to have them ORed at the jail. I say expand swap and make all the dirt bags clear brush for fire prevention.
Yes! Daily poison oak would be a great reward for these people.
Your tax dollars will be squandered on overtime for “law enforcement” to cut down pot plants and four wheel drives to get there. They don’t give a shit about actual crime. They do however, love to get paid overtime gallivanting around the hills playing cops and robbers. We need to set up a bait car ourselves. I would happily chip in some cash; anybody else? Maybe some others can chip in time. It’s time for citizens to take action. Relying on the government to do anything is a joke. Start breaking into cop cars and the problem would get solved real quick.
Don’t forget about all the donuts.
Illegal grows are a crime. As far as the vigilante approach is concerned I suggest that you provide the time.
“Illegal” grows are a crime.”
Wait, let me write that down.
Good luck. You are outnumbered.
This is from September! Why is this so delayed?
Not delayed. This article was posted in real time. Just a repost evidently.
OK. Thank you.
Probably because the court just declared Trinidad transient Marisa Wheeler mentally ill from jail & turned her back out to Trinidad outpatient where a trail of safety glass follows her everywhere she goes….& violence. Saw a Facebook post about the safety glass queen on FB today at McKinleyville community watch. Now just makes sense to repost the alert. They know what’s coming.
I don’t know why the Parks chose to release the information now.
White trash lots of that in Humboldt, you wall mart haters should stop shopping there and spend your money in the higher price stores. Wall mart does not need low life scum bags like you.
Not gonna lie. That hurt.
Build the wall…………………….mart.
It looks like the female is on a cell phone. Could they get the date and time off the video and get a list of phone numbers of calls being made at that time from the closest tower? Or do I watch too much Columbo?
Wasn’t it great how Columbo always caught ’em in some cell phone mistake? 😉
