[UPDATE 10:33 p.m.] Two Dumpster Fires in Eureka; One Man With a Dog Detained for Combative Behavior
Someone set fire to two dumpsters in Eureka this evening. The first was near the Adorni Center a little after 9 p.m. No structures were threatened and firefighters got it out quickly.
The second fire was near the 600 block of Second Street. John Chiv has a photo of the fire here. It was also quickly put out.
Eureka Police detained a man dressed in black who appeared intoxicated and was carrying a white dog was combative with firefighters, according to the scanner.

UPDATE 10:33 p.m.: Another dumpster is on fire. Firefighters are at the Adorni Center “with a fully involved dumpster,” according to a dispatcher over the scanner.

What is Eureka coming to? Even the dogs appear intoxicated. 😉
Poor doggie, I wonder if the man is combative with the dog. There’s enough fire going on destroying lives – can it just stop! It’s got me down & I’m not even directly affected, so destructive & painful.

I noticed Eureka’s air quality index was over 150 last evening (“unhealthy” levels)…that’s bad news for residents.
