At approximately 2:50 p.m. today, a motorhome driver led Arcata Police officers on a slow-speed chase west onto Hwy 255. The driver reached the Manilla dunes and then fled on foot.

Officers rapidly overtook the driver and took him into custody shortly after 3 p.m.

OMG, LOL, thank you for pointing that out. That is really impressive engineering. And is that a dog house near the front of the roof with a fake lawn spread out in front of it?

This is better than a movie.

I hope he doesn’t lose his home though. Anything is better than having to sleep under a bush. Or in any one of ours back yards.

I’m guessing no license, no insurance, no brain. And a bunch of dope.

They’re sneaky and they’re tweeky, they creep around the county, they don’t have a bounty, the Methster family. They’re after your possessions, there brains are not in session, they’ll never learn their lessons, the Methster family. They’re cooking on the run, their minds are all undone, they hate the rising sun, the Methster family. The police can’t check their ride, cause the chemicals are all inside, they’ll just have to step aside, for the Methster family. You’ll see them driving by, going who knows where or why, they’re always on the sly, the Methster family. So let this be a lesson, always keep your brain in session, don’t let the Methster’s come a messing, with you or your family!!!

Slow speed chase? The person driving was experiencing a medical episode?

Commenters are quick to blame the “meth” problem.
When did that start?
During the Clinton presidency the crack cocaine epidemic,
and street drugs replaced marijuana. Ask Gary Webb;

Opium, absinthe, laudanum, heroin all had “epidemics” in the 19th century. The ancient Romans use tranquilers commonly. Alcohol of course always was the most commonly used drug. There is nothing special about marijuana.

The major difference that created widespread recreational drug abuse was that the great masses of people became rich enough not to have to spend every waking hour working to avoid starving.

interestingly the CIA admitted to creating the Crack epidemic (import/production/distribution) on the same day in November 1998 that Monica Lewinsky made the news. which one do you remember? I am sure you can find a youtube link for it.

Uhm, the crack cocaine thing started under Reagan. Early 80s.

Remember David Crosby and Richard Pryor?

Is the drivers seat a discarded commode? This guy won’t make the excellence in maintenance honor roll anytime soon.
