Clear weather, dry road, no traffic I can see.
How fast was he driving?
Swerved to miss a deer? (yeah, I heard that one years ago), Checked the GPS on his cell phone?
I’m sorry he didn’t make it.
I hope this accident and others in the past handful of years are motivating people to drive with more care – 70 MPH expectations (even 50 MPH expectations) are not reasonable on the local roads. Momentary distractions – even at lower speeds – can had disastrous results.
As the family of this driver is learning today.
That’s what happens when you drive a F-ing Prius! Normally they’re doing about twenty under the posted speed limit… Grrr
Someone lost their life today, and that’s what you have to say?
People that complain about slow drivers are usually the ones that go at least 10mph over the speed limit, constantly. That hmm sound you hear is not your brain working!
My condolences to the family that lost their loved one.
Looks to me more like a Toyota Matrix.
Yes a Matrix. I own one.
Not a prius
piruses i agree arent made to handle the roads here. not to mention the little advertised fact that they do more harm to the planet than non hybrid compact cars. the general public was offered a load of goods and most without doing any true research swallowed it and are still mostly convinced they are helping the planet …… no matter the facts of engery protential engery stored engery and applied versus recovered. cant change phyics or the laws of nature to bad they stopped teaching people to think and instead taught them to resist reguardless of practical sense and general laws of nature.
so you are one of those that belives that they are right and anyone who doesnt agree with or think the same way as you should die. nice . its people who wish death on others for mere thoughts or words that are the true problem with this world. here in merica we all have a protected right to belive in whatever we wish. that right is given to you by those who went and fought to keep those rights fighting often times people who belive just as you appear to do. that is everyone must think the same or else die. scary but in the end it all works out because power never sticks around for long and as soon as someone who thinks as you appear to do gains power.,it will become the cool thing to hate on you. so live it up enjoy it but know if you cant at least respect others rights to belive what they wish, then you csnt expect or demand others to respect you or your views. and will surely suffer for such harsh judgements.
Judge much?
You should blank out the license plate until next of kin are notified
Family was at the accident scene soon after it happened and over an hour before I posted the first photo.
RIP Prayers to the family. As a former EMT no telling what happened we may never know. Making crappy statements does noting to help the family of the victim. Lets try to have some class. A follow up atricle gives the name. He was 75 might have had a medical problem that caused the accident. Who know.
Comentors are a sad reflection on society.
I second that! RIP and condolences to the family.
Possible the accident was the result of a medical problem, not his driving. With old judgement. You don’t know all the facts.
From my own experience accidents happen and they aren’t necessarily caused by the driver.
I feel bad for his family. It’s hard to see things like this in the news.
With hold judgement.
