We’ve joined forces with Ray Hamill of HumboldtSports.com to bring you local sports. We’ll be sharing a teaser and a link to his stories here for easy access. Click through to his site for the latest in local action, but here’s a sneak peek at one of the local athletes that is leading the pack:

Several Humboldt-Del Norte League football players are featured among the statistical leaders in the North Coast Section, including St. Bernard’s quarterback Will Omey.

Omey leads all NCS divisions in total offensive yards per game, with 300.4.

The Crusaders junior is also ninth in the section in rushing yards per game with 118.2, and 14th in passing yards per game with 178.8, which is also second best among Division-IV quarterbacks.

And he’s not the only local player included among the statistical leaders in the section.
