City of Arcata Recreation Division Begins Open Enrollment For Family and Adult Ceramics Classes

Family Ceramics gives families the opportunity to spend quality time together while bringing out their creative sides in a relaxed atmosphere. Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Siblings, Aunts, Uncles and all other family members are invited to sign up to learn various ceramic techniques. Adult family members with children 6 years and older are welcome to participate.
Family Ceramics classes will be held Tuesday, October 23 through Tuesday, December 4. The class will take place on Tuesdays, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Teen Room at Arcata Community Center, located at 321 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway.
Participant fees are $70 for Arcata residents or $81 for non-residents up to 4 family members, with a $5 fee for each additional participant. The class fee includes all materials.
Get your hands dirty, come play with clay! Whether you are new to ceramics or longing to get your hands in the clay again, this class offers a creative space for adults, age 18 and over, to dive in and interact with other pottery students while having the opportunity to hand build, learn glaze application and decorative techniques. Experienced students have an opportunity to dabble in wheel throwing.
Adult Ceramics will take place Tuesday, October 23 through Tuesday, December 4. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Teen Room at Arcata Community Center, located at 321 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway.
