This is a press release from the City of Rio Dell:

The regular meeting of the Rio Dell City Council on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 has been moved to the Multi‐Purpose Room at Monument Middle School, 95 Center Street in Rio Dell. The meeting begins at the normal starting time of 6:30pm. The change in venue is needed for the expected higher than normal attendance at this meeting related to the proposed Permanent Supportive Housing project that is proposed by Danco. The project is located at a currently vacant parcel on Rigby and Center Streets.

If you are a resident of Rio Dell you should take the time this Tuesday the 16th at 6:30 pm, to come to the city council meeting at the Monument Middle School, to listen and voice your opinion on the pending homeless/mental health facility the city is proposing. This will likely set the future precedence and show you where Rio Dell is headed for in the near future. I truly hope that the citizens of this small town of just over 3,000 people will be able to vote for or against important projects. The citizens that live here need to have a say so in the decisions that affect their quality of life now and in the future.

Please read the project’s financial statements and pertinent information below.

I hope to see you there.
