Libby Maynard Being Honored with 2018 ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Arts Award’

Join the Humboldt Arts Council at the Morris Graves Museum of Art on Friday, November 2nd from 5 to 7 p.m. for the 2018 Celebration of the Arts. This year we will honor Libby Maynard, Arts Advocate and Executive Director of the Ink People Center for the Arts, with the 2018 Outstanding Contribution to the Arts Award.  In addition to her work leading The Ink People, Libby serves on the Boards of Directors of Access Humboldt, Alliance for California Traditional Arts, and Humboldt County Workforce Investment Board.  And since 2005, she has served as staff to the City of Eureka’s Art & Culture Commission, and sits on Eureka Main Street’s Public Arts Committee.  She has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors in California.

 

The evening includes a sampling of hors d’oeuvres crafted by Uniquely Yours Catering, with hosted California wines and no-host specialty cocktails. Enjoy live music and a raffle benefiting the Humboldt Arts Council, the Morris Graves Museum of Art and youth art education programs.

 

Thanks to our generous donors, the sky is the limit. This is sure to be a delightful evening in celebration of the arts!

  • I’m so glad that Libby Maynard is being recognized for her contributions to Eureka’s arts scene. I’ve never met this woman, but as a participant in the local arts scene, I’ve seen over and over what a visionary, what a powerhouse she is. We’re incredibly fortunate to have her.
