That is IN Trinidad. Van Wycke Street is a narrow road down by the Harbor.
Ok.. you got a vehicle description for us?
I wonder if they didn’t realize it wasn’t a through street and shot right over the edge.
LoCo says they forgot to put it in park, and rolled with the engine off. How they were in it and did not manage to find the brakes before finding the cliff, I do not know…
Oh dear. That’s embarrassing.
There are a lot of cars out there that have brakes that just don’t work for crap, no matter how hard you mash on them, if the engine isn’t running. People should practice engine off descents at least once, just so they know what’s going to happen.
Rental car with unfamiliar controls? Anyway I hope whoever It was recovers well.
Why wasn’t the emergeny brake on? Every car has one…. 🤔. Even so, i really hope this couple makes it. 😓 seems like tragedies on the daily lately.
Did they ever find the wench with the winch?
She was trying to secure a lead pipe cinch with a wrench.
I’ve been avoiding Trinidad ever since the BOLO for a 150′ wench. She sounds scary.
