The Delta Fire which was 97% contained earlier today has flared up dangerously prompting Code Red evacuations, according to a tweet by Shasta Trinity National Forest. Trinity County uses the Code Red emergency alert system which uses reverse 911 calls and emails etc. to inform inhabitants of a specific area of important information.

They also posted on Facebook,

At the recommendation of the #DeltaFire managers the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department and Trinity County Office of Emergency Services have issued a mandatory evacuation notice for residents on East Fork Road, north to Ramshorn Road and east to the Trinity/Shasta line due the fire burning on the Trinity/Shasta County Line. The fire has crossed Slate Mountain Road at Dog Creek.
