At approximately 5:45 p.m., a fire was reported to be burning in trees on the 1600 block of Pine Street in Eureka. The first firefighters on scene reported that the trees were torching and that a structure was threatened.

Firefighters quickly pushed back and quieted the fire.

However, Pine Street is “blocked at Wabash,” according to the Incident Commander speaking on the scanner.

We need to commission a statue of Desire Henley and erect it at the former site of the Blue Heroin.
