This year’s juror is Dan McCauley. “Hello my name is Dan McCauley, I am a found object metal sculptor. I was taught to weld at the age of 11 by my grandfather, my first metal project was building a go-cart. I learned that almost anything can be built from using discarded items. Art is a passion of mine. To improve other’s lives by making them happy is the greatest gift to give. Simplicity is key, whether in life or expression. I feel it carries a message of happiness. I love sharing what I do and I love seeing people share what they do.”
To be eligible, art works must be made of 100% recycled materials. Please review detailed entry guidelines available at the Museum or at www.humboldtarts.org. Art with a frequent pinch of humor- my favorite kind. I love the fence going into the transfer station on W Hawthorn in Eureka.
Where is the Thonson Galley? Anyone? thanks.
I think it’s part of the Morris Graves Museum.
