36th Annual Hammond Trail Run This Saturday

Press release from the County of Humboldt:

September 8 2018, the 36th Annual Hammond Trail Run will be happening in McKinleyville. The Half Marathon and 3 Mile Run will be between 7:30 am to 1:30 pm, with the actual race starting at 8:30 am at Hiller Park. Although no county roads will be closed for this race, there will be Traffic Control Personnel at the 3 County parking lots along Clam Beach Drive. The race will be crossing at Knox Cove Drive and runners will be either on sidewalks or shoulders of the following County roads:

North side of Murray Road from the west end to Daffodil Avenue,  west side shoulder the entire length of Letz Road and Clam Beach Drive, will continue along State maintained roads up to Little River Drive to Crannell Road with the turn around at approximately post mile 1.6. The race will reverse along the same course. Please watch for participants and support vehicles. Remember to drive safe and obey traffic signs and controllers.
