I’m surprised they arrested someone for trespassing. We call about trespassing in Mckinleyville and they seem too lazy to clear out the homeless camps in the brush until some other crime happens. Their trails are so obvious. We should of made sure there was a plan for devils playground because all those ppl went into neighborhood wooded areas and trespassed in the communities. Some guys have a trail to my backyard and it’s very creepy how they trespass, bold & entitled on private property. The cops never come when I call. It seems like something has to get stolen or something horrible before they do anything.

I had to put a chain across the trail the homeless used in my yard to access the water tower area here in Fortuna. They had cut the wire fence we had at the property line; when I put up the chain it was a logging chain and I was like Let see ‘em cut that. It stopped some of the foot traffic, my dog got rid of the rest. One guy said he was going to turn me in for my dog ripping a hole in his leg, I told him to go right ahead and that if he came back, I’d sic the dog on him again. Haven’t seen anyone cut thru in awhile… word gets around.

My advice is to get a Fox Terrier. They’re very protective and territorial.
