CHP Conducting Enhanced Enforcement Operation Focused on School Zone Safety in Del Norte County
This is a press release from the California Highway Patrol:
Crescent City, Calif. – As part of ongoing efforts to improve pedestrian safety in Del Norte County, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be conducting an enforcement operation that will focus on traffic safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists on roadways adjacent to schools. The enforcement operation will take place between September 4th-7th at Del Norte High School, Redwood Elementary School and Mary Peacock within Del Norte County.
The CHP is conducting this public awareness and enforcement program to educate and encourage members of the community to develop and maintain safe practices while driving, walking, and bicycling throughout Del Norte County.
CHP officers will conduct enforcement operations within school zones identified as having a high number of pedestrian fatalities and injuries. Officers will be on the lookout for right-of-way violations, speeding, failing to obey crossing guards, and other common school zone violations.
These enforcement operations are an effective way to communicate pedestrian right-of-way laws to both drivers and pedestrians. The CHP conducts these enforcement operations in response to community requests and to educate the public on the rules when traveling through a school zone.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

How about a druggie Dirtbag in public Crackdown. Or shit even a druggie dirt bag around a school zone Crackdown.
They can’t write easy, expensive citations for that.
You guys really are off the beam if you don’t think student safety should be a high priority. I am happy to hear that the school pupils are getting attention even if it is only for a few days.
I wonder how many drivers exceed the 15 MPH school zone speed limit?
Well done look out for the kids, thats what your job is supposed to be not extorting the public all day long every day.since you extortionast get all the funding while our children have to take turns with school books .
