[UPDATE 10 p.m.] AT&T Fiber Outage Continues
AT&T customers report that internet services are down from areas as far south as Miranda and as far north as McKinleyville in Humboldt County. The first reports indicate the outage started about 9:20 a.m.
Senator Mike McGuire tweeted about 4 p.m., “Just got off the phone with @ reps: @ crews are out in the field and working the fiber outage in #. There is no word on a cause, they’re working to determine how many customers are impacted and there is no estimated time for service restoration.”
UPDATE 8:13 p.m.: According to a tweet by Senator Mike McGuire around 8 p.m., “@ crews remain on scene of a fiber cut which has impacted service in # County. Crews are working hard to get service restored later this evening.”
UPDATE 10 p.m.: Two readers let us know that their AT&T service is back up and running.
