[UPDATE: Found] Cat Missing in Eureka
From a reader:
On Friday (August 17th) at 3:30 PM, our lovable older senior cat Foo Foo managed to escape out of our cat cart on 9th and K street in Eureka. We were in the process of relocating her to a new home when the escape happened. Foo Foo does not know anything about the area that she is currently in which means her survival depends on the generosity of the many cat owners in the area.
Foo Foo is cinnamon brown colored with short legs. She weighs approximately 3-to-4 pounds. Street smart and lightning quick. Gravitates towards food and other cats. Foo Foo is naturally skittish but if you are friendly to her, she will return the love in kind.
If you can help out Foo Foo and her heartbroken owners, please contact Zach at 707-845-6042.
UPDATE: Foo Foo was found.

3-4 lbs is pretty light for an adult cat
The article says she is a senior cat, and so is likely to be a bit on the thin side naturally!!!
My cat weighs 15 lbs. I don’t think it could be alive at 25% of that
Help out! Get this kitty HOME!
Foo Foo may try to return to your (and her) former home.

Best suggestion of the day, so far!!!
If there is a pit bull around the little cat probably met its fate. Pit bulls kill!
I’m not fond of pit bulls but inserting it in this article is totally irrelevant.
Thanks Kyme for posting that, hope she gets home safe.
KYM: This might be a far shot but there is a ‘cat lady’/ cat collector in that area . She feeds many cats and raccoons. Kym, if the person wants more info, please contact me directly through my email.
I think I know who you are talking about, but yes – please feel free to e-mail me with any leads at [email protected]. I would be grateful for any tips right now. I’ve posted tons of flyers, done daily tours of the area, and will continue to do so.
Please e-mail me ([email protected]) with whatever information you have. I’ve voluminously posted flyers. I’ve done daily tours of the larger area (and will continue doing so). All calls/leads are investigated thoroughly and I’m grateful for the neighborly response.
A quick update and special thanks to so many people who helped out in the search.
Thanks to Chelsea and friends by the HHS & Title Company building, we found Foo Foo over a month after she went missing. We were shocked. The rescue happened and she is back on the road to recovery.
Success!
Thank you for letting us know. I’ve updated the post.
