Public’s Help Sought Identifying Suspects in Vehicle Burglary
Press release from the Redwood National and State Parks:
Park Rangers with Redwood National and State Parks are seeking the public’s help as they work to identify two men suspected of vehicle burglary and using a stolen credit card. In late July a vehicle was broken into while parked on Alder Camp Road near the mouth of the Klamath River. Several items were taken from the vehicle. Not long afterwards, a credit card stolen during the burglary was used at the Pem Mey Fuel Mart in Klamath.
Security cameras captured two suspects and their vehicle. However, attempts to identify them have been unsuccessful. The accompanying photographs show the two adult males. The men are associated with a dark-colored, four-door sedan.
Redwood National and State Parks ask that anyone with information on either suspect’s identify to call Ranger Spero at: (707) 465 7752.
Visitation is steadily increasing as visitors come from across the country and the world come to experience the wonders of Redwood National and State Parks. Unfortunately, crime is also on the rise. Vehicle break-ins and other crimes against people visiting their parks hurt not only the victims, but our entire community by damaging our reputation as a welcoming, first-class tourism destination.
Park Rangers from Redwood National and State Parks work tirelessly to increase and maintain park safety in the park. You can help! Anyone with information regarding any criminal activity within the parks is urged to contact the park’s anonymous tip line at: 707-465-7353.

Why would you leave a credit card in your car?
You’re on vacation, and you think to yourself, hey, who’d break into my car in the middle of the freaking woods?
What a crappy place we’ve become!
Yep. “The Green Ghetto”.
“It’s a fricken dirty world!”
I’m pretty sick of the victim being blamed. I get it… should they have left their purse in the car with cards…no. Not the smartest idea but I’m so stinkin sick of people taking crap that’s not theirs! The surrounding area as a whole (I’m from Del Norte Co) is getting so bad. It is heart breaking because we have have beautiful area and people should be able to enjoy like years past. Have an amazing day!
Thanks Lady guest.
Thanks for covering this. One thing Klamath lacks is news…
