So right!! Thing is tweakers dont have cars worth much, own their homes, or have lots of cash to steal of confiscate. It isn’t just about “getting drugs off the street”, it is about making money for the department through assett forfeiture and getting the loot the officers take home and pocket directly as well as pounds and pills and other drugs. They been doing for so long the officers who were deputies in the ’80s are head sheriffs today. Dirty from the top down.

I’m curious, where do you think people live? Why in the environment of course. We have a seemingly unending supply of people but we’re rapidly running out of sustainable environment in which to live.

I’m not belittling pursuing heroin or anything else but you act like it’s a zero sum game. We can and should do both.

It is exactly a zero sum game. Every cop getting paid overtime to cut down pot plants is one less cop to fight serious crimes that are rampant around here!

Throw away the keys to what? Her car, so she has to walk home this evening? Wait, the cops have to give you a ride back to your house if you live more than a half hour away from jail.

Another one bites the dust , hope they get to the main source to cut off the supply chain , these dealers are not pulling all these drugs out of their hind ends , need to take the top dogs down ,too if it is the Mexican cartel, then get the military involved .

I wonder if they have any leads on the conspicuously well dressed hispanic looking guy who’s always standing ominously opposite the gas station. I’m sure he is just looking out for the well being of the community
