[UPDATE Sunday] Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on the Herrick Offramp

Pedestrian HitA pedestrian was reportedly injured after being struck by a vehicle on the Herrick offramp about 9:25 p.m., according to scanner traffic.

One vehicle is in the Park and Ride with heavy frontend damage, according to emergency personnel over the scanner.

“We haven’t found the subject yet,” reported emergency personnel on the scanner about 9:33 p.m. The driver stated the vehicle was going about 50 mph when the individual was struck.

“I’m still trying to locate the patient,” the personnel reported about 9:35 p.m.

At 9:38 p.m., the pedestrian was located.

UPDATE 9:41 p.m.: CPR is in progress, according to the scanner.

UPDATE 9:42 p.m.: The number 2 lane is blocked, according to the scanner.

UPDATE 9:46 p.m.: The ambulance is on its way to St. Joseph’s Hospital Code 3.
