The Honeydew Volunteer Fire Company invites you to the 29th annual Roll on the Mattole. The Honeydew Volunteer Fire Company (HVFC) is a 501©3 non-profit organization that relies solely on membership, donations and this fundraising event to support the company from year to year. Our annual operating budget, excluding large equipment purchases, is approximately $60,000. Your support of the Roll enables the HVFC to keep its 14 volunteer firefighters supplied with all the necessary equipment required to help protect our community and environment. Your support helps pay for personal safety gear, fire engines, water tenders, radios, equipment maintenance, fire and medical response training, firehouse maintenance and more.

The Roll on the Mattole will be held this Saturday from noon to midnight, at the Mattole Grange, located halfway between Honeydew and Petrolia (36512 Mattole Road). We encourage carpooling and designated drivers.

This year’s Roll will feature live music from Diggin Dirt, Full Moon Fever, The Real Sarahs, Safari Boots, Bluff Creek Boys, Silver Saturn and Maureen Catalina & Friends. Great food, local crafts, beer and beverages, kid zone and the Wildland Firefighter Challenge (pictured above). Go to honeydewfire.com for more event details.

Thank you for supporting the Honeydew Volunteer Fire Company.

This event is operated solely by volunteers in our community and by other friends who just help out . I was a member and Chief of this fine organization for almost Ten years and a volunteer capt. for 20 years. Every volunteer at this event works their tail off to make this happen.
