Wasn’t a log truck. Was a lumber flatbed truck hauling logs with bunks on its deck. Still curious as to which company.

They’re diverting traffic through the rest area on the northbound side, one lane at a time. Wait time was about an hour

Holey Moley! Is driver ok?

Too bad we can’t just close certain roads from 2-5am and let the trucks work among themselves.

Hope driver is ok. Unfortunately and I do not mean this as negative judgment, just an observation after sharing the road with log haulers for over 40 years : a lot of those guys drive like cowboys on speed. Slow the hell down, everybody esp. If hauling a big load on these curvy winding roads.

I sure hope the truck driver will be OK. That was a nasty looking wreck. Don’t know if was his fault or not.
RE: M. Papin, not all truck drivers are jackasses. I see more A holes in cars driving crazy on that highway than trucks. Your comment about cowboys on speed is uncalled for. Bet you have done some stupid stuff!

Didn’t this just happened recently on 101? A log truck spilled it’s logs. About a week or two ago?

It looked horrible when I drove by and would be surprised if the driver survives as the cab was completely crushed with airbag deployed. Hoping for the best. There was a piece of another car (rear bumper of a smaller silver car). Possibly the small car cut the truck off which I see happen frequently on my weekly drive – trucks carrying a load cannot stop on a dime.

The accident was by the rest stop just after Bell Springs turnoff before 271 exit.

I was stuck in this and it looked very bad as we drove through the rest stop to divert it. I hope everyone is okay.

Hoping the open container found in the cab was a water bottle not booze.
