Young Readers and Storytellers Invited to ‘PAWS to Read’ Program at Eureka Library on July 11th

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Library:

Young readers and storytellers are invited to the PAWS to Read program at the Eureka Main Library on Wednesday, July 11, between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. in the Eureka Library. After the adult parent or guardian signs up at the desk in the children’s room, each family will meet registered therapy dog Eele and her human, Joan, for a short reading session. Reading to a dog is a great way for new readers to practice skills in a low-pressure environment, and fun for everyone. The PAWS to Read program is offered on the second Wednesday of the month. The library’s programs and services are free, and accessible to persons with disabilities. The library is located at 1313 Third Street and at humlib.org. For further information or to ask for accessibility assistance, call (707) 269-1910.

I would have loved this as a child. I’m not sure I would have spent much time on the reading part though.
