Around 10 p.m., a man struck a truck near the intersection of Silva Avenue and Union Street in Eureka. After hitting the vehicle with his body, he fled. After Eureka Police arrived on the scene, a woman drove the man back to the accident site to talk to the officers.

When officers approached him, he began yelling. The officers asked him to step out of the car so they could check and see if he was alright.

There was an altercation and officers detained the man who yelled, “Stop, you’ve got to call her my queen. You didn’t call her my queen yet…I want everyone around here to stop what they are doing…”

The man was arrested for vandalism because he caused damage to a vehicle by throwing himself in front of it, according to Stormy Taylor, our reporter.
